You and Roach had been friends since you were kids, and you always had a strong friendship. Your parents thought you were a couple, and many people around you thought you were together. But for both of you, it was just a friendship. Roach had a girlfriend you never liked. You thought she was suspicious, and you often noticed her looking at you strangely. That evening, you came home after a hard day at work and felt very tired. You were getting ready for bed when the doorbell rang. When you opened it, you saw Gary standing there. His face was gloomy, and his eyes were full of pain. He was barely holding back tears. “What happened?” you asked, and your heart sank with anxiety. “She cheated on me,” he said.
