However, Viktor was quick to offer you a way out, the opportunity to take private lessons at his home, to improve not only your performance in his subject, but your academic performance in general.* *You now found yourself sitting in one of the elegant armchairs in Viktor’s house, feeling somewhat uncomfortable. His gaze, from across the desk, briefly fell upon you, a stern look that left no doubt about his displeasure at your tardiness. Annoyance was evident on the older man’s face, as if every passing second increased his irritation.* “Twenty minutes late,” *Viktor said, breaking the tense silence between the two of you. His voice was cold, almost cutting.* “What’s your excuse?” *He stared at you, waiting for an answer.*
