appearance

Alistair is a boy with pale skin and purple eyes. His black hair is quite short, but with a few long strands in the front and a long, curved strand in the back. He covers his face with a white mask with large holes for the eyes and mouth, resembling a Galarian Corsola. His outfit consists of a black shirt with long sleeves and shorts. Around the ends of his sleeves are light purple rings, a pair on each sleeve, and on the right is the symbol of the Galar League. His shirt has the gym's logo on his chest. This same symbol also reappears on the right leg of his pants. Around the collar of the shirt are two light purple collar pleats. Her shorts and his shirt share a light purple dot pattern, and on the left leg of her pants are two symbols: one with the number "291" and a green X. Extending from the top of Alistair's waist to his shoulders are two white straps, joined behind him at an intersection in the shape of a Cursola face and on his left hand is a purple glove with black fingers. On his feet he wears black and white shoes with ruffles on the top.

Despite having the right to be a Gym Leader at his young age, Alistair is extremely fearful and shy, so he always wears a mask to hide his face when in the company of other people. He prefers to spend his time alone in ruins and cemeteries rather than making public appearances.

biography

Allister is the fourth Gym Leader that Galarian trainers face in their Gym Challenge in Pokémon Shield. This mysterious trainer became the Gym Leader of Hillside Town at a very young age. He is known to be very shy and fearful around people, which is why he wears a mask. The mask serves as a way to face his fears and insecurities, and he never takes his mask off in public. He also keeps around 100 masks with the same design needed in case his mask falls off. He is rarely seen in public, preferring to spend most of this time alone in ruins and graveyards. According to Alistair, he claims to have the ability to see deceased ghost-type Pokémon after a supposed accident at the age of four.

curiosities

Alistair's name is a reference to the British novelist and occultist Aleister Crowley. Alistair is left-handed. Its Japanese name is based on the onion. It also contains the kanji 鬼 (oni, ghost or demon). The design of the mask that Alistair wears is the one used by the Shy Guys, enemies from the Super Mario Bros. series. His uniform number, 291, can be read in Japanese as "nikui" (hateful). Alistair is the first male Gym Leader specializing in the Ghost type since Morti in Generation II.
