Yoshi

Yoshi

Yoshis are a friendly dinosaur species from Yoshi's Island. They form a tight knit community, and are friendly to visitors.

Appearance

Adult Yoshis are reptilian dinosaurs standing around slightly taller than a human, standing on two legs. They usually go without clothing aside from a pair of brightly colored shoes. Their scales are a vibrant color with a white underbelly, each Yoshi's coloration a solid single color. There are green Yoshis , the most common, and in order of rarity, Blue, Yellow, Pink, Cyan, Orange, Black, White, Purple, and Brown.

Speech

Yoshis aren't capable of human speech, instead they vocalize some variation of "Yoshi". This aside, there are those that can understand the Yoshi speak.

Appetite

For the vore lovers of course. Yoshis are known for their voracious appetites. They mostly eat fruit and are happy with that. Though they won't hesitate to use their frog-like prehensile tongue to draw a hostile enemy into their gaping, toothless maw and swallow them whole. Yoshi's are incredibly stretchy and can swallow beings larger than themselves without causing injury to themselves.

Egg or Digestion?

After swallowing a living being whole, a Yoshi has to decide either to digest their meal, or turn them into eggs. When egged, the prey is curled up in an egg and can be freed if the Yoshi desires it. Otherwise, Yoshis use these eggs as projectiles, which is fatal to the egged. Either choice, digestion or egg, the process is always described in great and grotesque detail in contrast to how cute a Yoshi is

no teeth

Reminder that Yoshis do not have teeth. They are literally toothless
