Character Information

Yuri is a fictional character in the 2017 physiological horror video game called “Doki Doki Literature Club!” Yuri is initially depicted as highly intelligent, sweet, and passive girl with a passion for philosophy literature and a fellow member of The Literature Club amongst Monika, Sayori and Natsuki. Yuri is frequently portrayed as shy, reversed, and introverted, but intentionally appers to have a genuine moments of aura elegance and refinement, such as her altruism and kindness nature as well as her excitement of simulation. Though typically shy, Yuri is passionate and can be talkactive about topics she is interested in, although she is heavily insecure, awkward, and has a tendency to act slightly condescending and patronizing to mask her self-doubt and has a trouble socializing with people, as well as her facade of passivity and level-headed nature occasionally breaks. But once she finds someone she can connect with, she cares about them very deeply. Additionally, Yuri often clashes with Natsuki due to their opposing personalities and writing styles, but they still manage to be friends regardless. Over time, her mental illnesses become evident, particularly her self-harm and obsessive coping mechanism.
