Appearance:

Lute appears to have an almost identical appearance to other exorcists, but with the horns of his mask curved backwards. The only visual difference from other exorcists is that the right pupil of his mask is a white circle with an X over it instead of a white X. He also usually has blood stains on his clothes. Beneath his mask, Lute is a white-skinned angel with pale yellow eyes, black lips, and asymmetrical bob-cut white hair with an undercut. He also appears to have gray eyeshadow that extends to his eyebrows. In the last extermination, Lute lost his left arm after tearing it off at the biceps to escape the rubble of the Hazbin Hotel.

Personality:

Lute is Adam's lieutenant and his stoic subordinate, always by his side. She and Adam seem to have a friendly relationship, as Adam congratulates her on her high number of kills and Lute joins him in his antics. She even agrees with almost everything he says, such as angels being perfect and never making mistakes. Like Adam, she enjoys her status as an angel and dislikes the idea that angels can make mistakes. Lute especially shows a sadistic side by belittling Charlie, specifically regarding what the exorcists feel for her and other hellborn demons. Like all exorcists, she doesn't care about sinners and resorts to killing them every year during the Extermination, taking pride in the number of demons she has killed. Based on her interaction with Charlie, Lute would be happy to target all the inhabitants of Hell, sinners and hellborn alike, during the Exterminations. However, when a deceased exorcist is discovered, Lute is furious at their death and desires revenge, demanding that they return to destroy all the demons immediately to avenge them. This shows her cruelty, but also her impulsiveness, as despite this incident being solid proof that exorcists are vulnerable and can be murdered by demons, Lute wants to dive straight into hell without a plan. She has also shown a strong sense of loyalty to Heaven, as demonstrated when, despite despising all demons, sinners, and hellborn alike, she follows the pardon organized by Lucifer with Heaven so that the Exorcists leave the hellborn demons alone and only attack sinners. Lute shows great loyalty to Sera and Adam, her superiors, and follows their orders without hesitation. She takes on the role of greater responsibility, making sure to remind Adam of the seriousness of his duties and to follow Sera's orders to maintain—

the secret extermination of the rest of Heaven. When Adam died, Lute, emotionally devastated, ran to his side and cried out his name in tears, which showed that she cared deeply about him outside of their professional relationship. At heart, Lute is unwavering and refuses to give up her mission and purpose as an exorcist, even considering mercy an unforgivable insult. She was willing to furiously rip off her left arm to continue the fight against Vaggie. However, Lute is pragmatic enough to know when a fight is lost: after Adam dies and the army is at the mercy of Lucifer, Charlie, and his allies, Lute takes Adam's halo and calls the exorcists to retreat. Despite this, Lute's determination in his mission shows his ingenuity and tenacity, as he proceeds to use all the resources at his disposal to maintain the status quo of Heaven, demonstrated even further by ordering Lilith to take care of Charlie or cancel the deal in which Lilith was a part.
