Saga Maximum Impact
This series is created to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the King of Fighters series. Although marketed as a spin-off of SNK's main fighting series The King of Fighters, from which many of its characters originated, KOF: Maximum Impact is actually intended as a continuation of the Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting series to which the game owes much of its look, feel, and style. KOF: Maximum Impact is the first 3D fighting game made by SNK since Samurai Shodown: Warriors Rage. Some players have criticized the game for an inferior hit detection grid, various bugs and exploits, awkward English dubbing (however, the Xbox version included an option to use the original Japanese voice tracks), and a cap on combo damage. Others hail the gameplay's originality and depth, finding that the combo limit adds balance and reduces one-sided matches. Later versions (PAL PS2, all regions Xbox) have added a choice of language options. The Xbox version also includes an online match mode where you can play with other players via Xbox Live. Maximum Impact is criticized for its dark, exaggerated, fantasy-like, edgy, alternative style and for not resembling the original classic King of Fighters series.
History of the video game KOF Maximum Impact
Addes was the most powerful gang in South Town. Its leader, a man known only as Fate, was considered a modern-day Robin Hood for the poor and oppressed. He himself had adopted two twin siblings, Alba and Soiree Meira, and trained them to be successors to his legacy. Six months before the events of the game, Fate is murdered by Duke, the leader of the up-and-coming Mephistopheles gang. Duke then proceeds to exploit the poor to satisfy his own twisted lust for power. In present day, the Mephistopheles Fighting Tournament begins, taking place across South City. The participants (minus the Meira siblings and Lien) believe that the tournament is sponsored by a charity known as the Metatron Foundation, but they soon learn that its true sponsor is the Mephistopheles Gang. Alba, Soiree, and Lien are contacted directly by Hyena, so they know that Metatron has nothing to do with this.
Roster
KOF: Maximum Impact features twenty playable characters. The majority of the roster, aside from the original characters, is carried over from the King of Fighters series. One notable exception is Rock Howard, who came over from the most recent Fatal Fury chapter, Garou: Mark of the Wolves. Six additional characters were created for the game, four of which have a deeper connection to the main plot than the others: Alba Meira, Soiree Meira, Lien Neville, and Seth. However, Seth's role was downplayed somewhat in the second title, as he is not an original character to this series, but rather a prominent face from the King of Fighters 2D story. The characters' alternate costumes were conceived as alternate personalities, but not much emphasis is made on this in terms of gameplay, as their move lists and dialogue remain the same. Some alternate costumes are radically different from the default ones, such as Terry's Garou: Mark of the Wolves look, Clark's professional wrestler persona, and Leona's outfit that makes her look more Rambo-like. In addition to alternate costumes, characters can be modified with unlockable "rig models", which add detail to the available costumes, such as a wolf mask for Terry, a Mr. Karate mask for Ryo and Yuri, and a party hat and banner for Seth.
kof maximum impact 2 story
The previous THE KING OF FIGHTERS, held in South Town — Many contended that this illegal fighting tournament was held by the gangland syndicate "Mephistopheles" to achieve the annihilation of their rivals and procure some operating capital. But after its "King," Duke, suffered defeat at the hands of Alba Meira in the finals, he and his organization vanished from Southtown. Meanwhile, the media, firmly under Duke's thumb, grew a new backbone and released a fusillade of sensational exposés — based on information from confidential sources (naturally) — regarding their former oppressors. In spite of this new torrent of "information", however, almost no one knew that an even larger entity had been pulling Mephistopheles' puppet strings. ADDES — The truth behind this name was only known throughout the dark recesses of the underworld. And Mephistopheles, the force that swept over and completely subdued Southtown with such overwhelming force? Just one of Addes' subsidiaries, one of its countless tentacles. When and who created it? Where was its headquarters? How far was its reach? — No one really had an inkling as to what this organization truly entailed. And now... Still yet another of Addes' long black tentacles had sliced down the veil with its sinister scythes of the grim reaper to reveal a new battle royale. The invitations in white envelopes will soon reach the world's mightiest, who will surely find the call of the reaper irresistible. As stated in Alba Meira's private novel by Akihiko Ureshino on the official KOF Maximum Impact 2 site which serves as an official follow up to the story of KOF Maximum Impact 2, Alba was in fact the one who defeated Jivatma and Luise. Soiree was kidnapped as a result of that and Alba has not seen him since then. And in the credits ending, Luise is seen waiting for him, so it can be assumed that Alba and Luise are together since the end of the second tournament.

A sequel called KOF Maximum Impact Regulation "A" 2 was announced for the PS2 and Taito TypeX2 at the Tokyo Game Show 2008. Many believed that the game was put on hold due to the development of KOFXII, but it was later canceled.
Falcon Information
Tatsuhiko Kanaoka, better known by his pseudonym Falcoon (ファルコン), is a Japanese artist who has been working with SNK since 1998. Falcoon has been involved in several iterations of The King of Fighters franchise and was directly in charge of the Maximum Impact series. His alias is also the name of a location in Kimino Yusha. Falcoon was born on January 6, 1976. [1] While Falcoon was attending art school, he began drawing as a child. According to Falcoon, he taught himself how to draw and improve his skills. [2] He began his career as a fanartist, and joined SNK in 1998 after an interview. [2] Falcoon worked as a designer when he joined SNK, making pixel art for several games, such as The King of Fighters, before being asked to work as an illustrator. [3] In 2005, Falcoon, in addition to his duties as an illustrator, worked as a producer for KOF: Maximum Impact. For illustration, Falcoon uses solely Photoshop. [3] His art is renowned for its heavy emphasis on muscles and weight for both sexes (proportions vary though it is very anime-like in influence), shading with gradients, and sharp highlights. His designs are also influenced by the strange yet colorful clothing found in Japanese street fashion, particularly Lolita and Fruits fashions. In several interviews, he insists that while he looks to books, movies, and magazines for inspiration, he prefers to create from his own mind as he is worried about being influenced too much by them, [3] so he does not use any references for his work, relying only on "strong images from memory". He was once an avid gamer, and loves visiting the local gaming center in his spare time. He hopes to make games where people can play them as a sport and "hone their skills like I used to." Falcoon states that after becoming a professional illustrator, he will be able to play games in his own way.
Falcon information
Falcoon states that after becoming a professional illustrator, he no longer cares about other illustrators and prefers to consider them competition as he fears that they will influence him too much. Falcoon is criticized for being overweight, for creating exaggerated and fanciful alternate costumes, and he was on the verge of quitting and resigning from SNK for not tolerating criticism.
Series anime the KOF Maximum Impact
The King of Fighters: Another Day (ザ・キング・オブ・ファイターズ アナザーデイ, Za Kingu obu Faitāzu Anazā Dei) is an animated series produced by Production IG. Although the general premise suggests the stories of the characters in KOF: Maximum Impact 2, characters and ideas from The King of Fighters XI were included in the narrative. This predates the eventual KOF Maximum Impact Regulation "A". The anime was animated in four six-minute shorts as an Original Net Animation (ONA). A special preview showcasing the first episode was revealed to fans at the 2005 KOF Year-End Party. The series made a brief television run before it was specially packaged on DVD on April 27, 2006 as part of a limited edition release of KOF: Maximum Impact 2 in Japan. The DVD included an English and Japanese dub with subtitles, feature commentaries, character design galleries, a trailer for the animated series, and three commercials for KOF: Maximum Impact 2. King of Fighters: Another Day's American marketing strategy was far less accessible. Originally intended to be included with King of Fighters 2006 as a pre-order bonus for EBGames and GameStop customers, SNK's American branch failed to ship the discs alongside the release. Following subsequent complaints, the bonus DVDs were supplied in limited quantities several weeks later and given to early bird customers.
