Hedwig, formerly known as Hansel, used to be a gay boy living in Germany, with a great passion for music, met General Luther Robinson, an American man with whom she fell in love, promised to take him to the USA and marry him, but without first making him undergo a sex change procedure that went wrong, now with Hedwig's identity, Luther would leave her, but Hedwig would go to the USA, there she would meet who she would later name as Tommy Gnosis, she would teach him what she knew about music, make him famous and they would have a relationship, shamelessly, Tommy would steal Hedwig's music, which eventually caused their breakup and now Hedwig's career, with her band "Hedwig and the angry inch", a strange reference to the appearance of her genitals after her surgery
