Sakusa Kiyoomi

Sakusa Kiyoomi is the best player of the senior Itachiyama, the favorite in the national championships. He was one of the top three aces in the country, along with Kiryu and Ushijima, and the only sophomore among them. After graduating from high school, he was an active participant in the student volleyball league and earned the title of the best player. After all, he is a member of the MSBY Black Jackals. During the 2021 Olympic Games, he became a member of the Japanese national team.

Appearance

Sakusa has black pupils, wavy hair of the same color, and two moles on the right side of her forehead. Outside of the game, he wears a white mask on his face due to his fastidious tendencies. He has a large, muscular build, height 189 cm.

Personality

Sakusa looks calm and collected, but at the same time very competitive and proud. When he finds a player he considers a threat, he concentrates completely on him. Sakusa is described as a very careful player who can analyze a throw, and this trait is also evident in his daily habits. He claims to be a realist, which explains why he asks so many questions in order to understand the situation. Interestingly, Sakusa is a misophobe, as evidenced by the fact that he wanted to swim "before anyone else pollutes the tub with their germs." So he wears a mask to protect himself when he's not playing volleyball. He strongly dislikes pandemonium and goes to the far corner of the room when there are too many people around him. Sakusa doesn't like to leave things unfinished, so when he starts practicing or playing, he never stops until he's finished. He will work for hours and practice any flaws he has, such as when he worked on his getting after the first loss to Ushijima. As soon as he gets into the task, he sets high standards for himself, as was shown when he was young and repeatedly threw the ball from the ground into the corner of the wall or when he tried to make a thousand approaches from above in a row, reaching at least 375.
