Yoichi Isagi

Isagi is a young striker who played for Ichinan Middle School before joining Blue Prison. When he first arrived at Blue Prison, he became a member of Team Z during the first tryout. His main goal is to become the best striker in the world. Isagi is a fairly tall teenager with an average build. He has short, dark blue hair that forms a V-shaped fringe between his large, blue eyes. Isagi is easy-going and generally friendly, but his simple and innocent habits often get on the nerves of those around him. He tends to avoid any childish squabbles among the other competitors of Blue Prison. At the beginning of Blue Prison, Isagi is very insecure about himself and his skills, due to initially being ranked second from last in Blue Prison and his conflicting ideas about soccer. Over time, Isagi develops a more assertive presence on and off the field, becoming a mainstay of Team Z and gaining the respect of some of the best players in Blue Prison, who generally have highly assertive or dominant personalities. By the third stage of the Selection, Isagi has enough confidence, charisma, and reputation to speak openly with Rin, one of the most talented but difficult people in the Blue Prison Project.

Bachira Meguru

Bachira is a moody forward who plays by his instincts, and when he first arrived at Blue Lock, he was a member of Team Z during the first tryout. His main goal was to find soccer opponents he could play against who also had a "monster" inside them, but his goal later changes and he aims to become the best striker in the world after overcoming his childhood trauma. Bachira is a fairly tall young man with a thin build and an oval face. He has bright yellow eyes and a short, chin-length, black hair with golden highlights (when Bachira was younger, his hair only reached his ears). When he played in the junior soccer league, he wore the #8 jersey. In the Chiba Prefectural Tournament, Bachira wore the #8 jersey for Namikaze High, which had a bird symbol in the center. Bachira has a rather eccentric behavior and personality. He is usually very energetic, cheerful, and enthusiastic during matches, rarely losing his cool and desire to play, describing soccer as something fun to play with others. Bachira immediately forms a bond with Ravinho, who is also eccentric and energetic, inspired by his style of playing soccer. He has a tendency to fall asleep at unexpected times, such as shown in the beginning where during the beginning of the tag test, he is found asleep. He mostly sleeps and ends up relying on Isagi or Kuon to wake him up, and then falls asleep during their team meetings; he has also been known to fall asleep while eating. When the Neo Egoist League begins, Bachira takes his soccer training more seriously, aiming to become the world-class Egoist he imagines himself to be and get closer to becoming the best in the world. Bachira is now actively training with weights and acting as a mediator.

Rin Itoshi

Rin is the younger brother of Sae Itoshi, who started playing soccer with him at a young age. He played as a forward on every team he played for and was always considered one of the best players. He was considered the best player in Blue Lock until Jinpachi Ego officially confirmed it at the start of the Third Selection. Rin is a tall teenager with a slender yet powerful build. He is noticeably taller than many of those older than him. He has dark green hair with bangs parted to the right, narrow, turquoise eyes, and distinct eyelashes, which he shares with his brother, Sae Itoshi. As a child, Rin looks much the same, only his facial features become more distinct as he ages. As a child, Rin was very innocent and in awe of his brother Sae, wanting nothing more than to become a cool and strong player like him. He started playing soccer because his brother told him to, following his orders without question. While they played soccer together, Rin listened to everything Sae said and adjusted accordingly. When Sae left for Spain, Rin found it harder to play soccer without his brother, but he aspired to become like him and replace him. This is where Rin's main style of play would begin to change from his instinctive style to a more logical one.

Chigiri Hyoma

Chigiri is a prodigy striker who was previously handicapped by a leg injury, but he let go of his fears while in the Blue Prison so he could continue playing soccer with all his heart. When Chigiri first arrived at the Blue Prison, he was a member of Team Z. Chigiri spent half of the first selection avoiding or keeping participation to a minimum, but when Isagi motivated him in Team Z's third game, he decided to get rid of his fear and play soccer to become the best striker in the world like his rivals. Chigiri is a young and thin man with reddish-pink hair and deep pink eyes. Chigiri has always had a very feminine face since a young age, as evidenced by his long eyelashes and soft features. He is often called a "kunoichi" or "princess" due to his feminine appearance and ninja-like speed. He greatly resembles his mother and older sister. Chigiri's hair has always been neck-length, but after entering high school, he allowed it to grow to his shoulders. Chigiri's hair reaches his shoulders and has one long fringe combed over the right side of his face. During games, he usually braids one side of his head to keep his hair out of his way. Chigiri has always considered himself superior to others since a young age due to his naturally strong muscles, amazing skill at soccer, and outstanding speed. For a time, he looked down on those who got in his way or irritated him, but was mostly humble. It is only when he tears his ACL that his sense of superiority begins to crumble, and due to the persecution from the Vanima brothers, he becomes afraid to play soccer with all his heart. He is so afraid of never playing soccer again that he would rather find an excuse to quit the game than persist in pursuing his dream.

Nagi Seishiro

When he first arrived at Blue Lock, he was a member of Team V and was the best player in his group. After the Blue Lock Eleven team played against the Japan U-20 team, Nagi became considered one of the best players in Blue Lock. Nagi currently plays as a right winger for Manshine City in the Neo Egoist League. Nagi is a tall teenager, taller than Yoichi Isagi but younger than him. Nagi is shown to have short white hair, with a V-shaped fringe between his eyes like Isagi. He has gray eyes with large irises. Nagi is an unnaturally talented soccer player with amazing reflexes, good speed, and jumping skills, but despite this, he is initially unwilling to put any effort into soccer such as training and belittles those who are weak and untalented at the game. He doesn't even know much about the best soccer players in the world, much to the chagrin of his competitors. He is initially shown to be indifferent to playing football and becoming a better striker, and would rather play video games or skip training.
