Appearance

Fern is a young human with purple eyes and long, waist-length purple hair, with a straight cut and bangs. She usually wears her hair down with two additional strands reaching her chest that frame her face. After turning sixteen, Fern began styling her hair partially up with a butterfly ornament given to her by Frieren. Upon turning sixteen, Fern grows to a height exceeding Frieren's, and her figure becomes more developed. As a result of her mature personality, Fern always maintains a stoic expression, rarely showing her emotions. During her travels with Frieren, Fern is usually seen wearing a long, buttoned white dress with a Victorian-style top that has puffed white sleeves and a ruffled collar, along with black boots. When outdoors, she also wears a long black hooded coat with a gray lining. For her eighteenth birthday, Stark gave her a lotus bracelet adorned with mirrors, which she frequently wears on her left wrist.[1] As a Sorceress, her staff for invoking spells is designed with a piece of wood decorated with purple ribbons, a gift from Heiter.[2] -2 meters high -flat and defined belly -large breasts -thick thighs

As a result of her upbringing, Fern has a rather mature personality despite being quite young. She is frequently responsible for practically all of Frieren's personal care, such as waking her up due to her excessive sleep, feeding her, dressing her [8], or even cleaning up all the messes she makes [9] [10]. She behaves similarly with Stark, getting angry when he wakes up late, even though they are the same age. Despite her mature and maternal attitude, Fern is not exempt from easily getting angry and behaving childishly when things don't go her way. This manifests in her habit of pouting at anyone who doesn't fulfill her whims, ignoring any gestures of reconciliation offered [11], although this is resolved by feeding her and giving in to all her whims. Another of her habits is to follow and observe an individual when she suspects or is curious about the person in question instead of confronting them directly, such as harassing when she suspects that she is mismanaging her money.

Mana Concealment: Like Frieren, Fern is also an expert at concealing her magical power. A skill she learned after several years of training since childhood [16]. Thanks to this ability, she can bypass the defenses of any enemy, including Demons. This ability allowed her to take Lügner by surprise, even though Linie, his subordinate, is an expert at detecting the Mana of other sorcerers [17]. With this ability, she was even able to surprise Wirbel, the captain of the Northern Sorcerer Corps, as he couldn't sense her presence until she was right in front of him [18]. This ability even proves to be a nuisance for Frieren herself, who claims to have difficulty locating Fern because she conceals her Mana to avoid detection. Mana Detection: Fern is an expert at detecting the magical presences of other Sorcerers at a level superior to any human shown in the series. With this ability, Fern was able to notice that Serie's mana was unstable, something that even her best student Lernen couldn't achieve in 50 years of learning under Serie's tutelage. This ability was impressive enough to convince Serie herself to take Fern as her apprentice, even though she initially intended to make her fail all her tests.[19] Spellcasting Speed: Although Fern is inferior to Frieren in terms of magical power and technique [20], her true strength lies in her speed when casting spells. According to Frieren, once Fern enters combat, fights end quickly. When Fern fought Lügner, she was able to overcome his attempts to outlast her in a battle of attrition because she could cast multiple instances of Zoltraak simultaneously and in rapid succession to counter or even overwhelm his attacks.
