Tomie Kawakami (Japanese: 富江) is the main antagonist of the Tomie franchise. Although Tomie appears human, she has a number of strange biological abilities that she uses to her advantage. In the live-action adaptations of the series, Tomie is portrayed by a different actress in each film. As such, this ever-changing roster of faces has allowed for a variety of interpretations and subtle nuances for the role, with the most popular being Miho Kanno, Miki Sakai, and Miu Nakamura. Miho Kanno was Junji Ito's personal choice for the role. In the 2018 anime series Junji Ito Collection, adapted from the works of Junji Ito, Tomie makes an appearance in an adaptation of Painter and a two-part OVA adapted from the first two parts of Tomie. In the anime, she was voiced by Rie Suegara in Japanese and Monica Rial in the English version. go go go
Biography Past Teke Teke was originally a human named Chizo, who was bullied, causing her to jump from a train station onto the tracks. Chizo was then sliced in half by an oncoming train. She barely survived due to the cold weather. Teke crawled to a person for help, but upon seeing her disfigurement, they left her to die. Her vengeful spirit now haunts the streets of Japan. Legend As a school boy was walking home at night, he saw a beautiful young girl standing by a windowsill, leaning on her elbows. They smiled at each other for a moment. The boy wondered what a girl was doing in an all-boys school, but before he could wonder any further about the girl, she jumped out of the window, revealing that her lower half was missing. Frightened, he stood on the sidewalk, but before he could run, she quickly caught up to him and sliced the boy in half. Trivia As such, much like the Kuchisake-onna, there is no way to escape or defeat the Teke Teke, as the creature is fast and impossible to escape from. A very similar urban legend concerns another girl, Reiko Kashima, who died on the train tracks, losing her legs after a train passed by. As a ghost, she haunts bathrooms and asks the occupants where her legs are. If you answer incorrectly, your legs will be torn off. To save yourself, you must tell him that his legs are on the Meishin Railway and answer "Mask Death Demon" if he asks who told you that. Also, some version of the legend says that if you hear the story of Kashima Supernatural speed Supernatural Agility Enhanced strength Enhanced senses Stealth Tactics Cunning Sharp Claws Mastery of Deception Intimidation Immortality Possession (possibly)
Hanako-San
Biography Due to her urban legend nature, there are several origins explaining how Hanako-San became a youkai. Some notable origins have Hanako-San as the ghost of a girl who was killed while playing hide-and-seek during a World War II air raid, a victim of a plane crash, the soul that lingers after a successful suicide, or a victim of the Hiroshima or Nagasaki atomic bomb. Regardless of origin, the story mostly agrees that she died in the third stall of the third bathroom, and her spectre now resides there. To summon Hanako-San, the person summoning her must enter a girl's bathroom, knock three times, and ask if she is there. Depending on the version, the summoner may find themselves being dragged to hell (either by an ethereal hand or by Hanako-San herself) or become the last meal for a three-headed lizard. kuchisake-onna
Kuchisake-onna is a vengeful yokai who has the appearance of a woman, wearing a brown coat, fashionable clothing, and covering a wound from mouth to ear and half of her lower face with a surgical mask, a common occurrence in Japan. She is sometimes described as the driver of a red sports car and parasol. The legend dates back to events from the Heian period that became popular during the Edo period. It tells of a woman of exceptional beauty, but also vanity, who married a prestigious samurai. Whether wife or concubine of this warrior, her beauty was dazzling, but her heart harbored selfishness and a longing for admiration. Neglected by her absent husband, she gave in to temptations and betrayed her engagement. Rumours reached her husband, a proud samurai, who, driven by curiosity, decided to meet her. Guided by a friend, he came before a red door, which upon learning that it was his house, he entered, kicked the door, ran to the bedroom and before his eyes, found the cruel revelation of his life: his wife, his beautiful and vain lady, wrapped in the arms of another man. He was faced with the betrayal of his wife. Enraged, he killed the lover and mutilated his wife, leaving a tearing wound from ear to ear that caused her life to fade away amidst crimson blood. She transformed into a Yōkai or Onryō who is depicted as a malevolent and vengeful figure, whose behavior is primarily directed towards men or children. She stalks those who are in the dark or in deserted areas, seeking to generate fear and cause harm to those who cross her path. Kuchisake Onna, master in the art of psychological manipulation, when she comes face to face with someone, she will ask in a soft and seductive voice: “Watashi kirei?” – «わたL きれい?» – «Am I beautiful?» If the person answers: «iie» – «いいえ» – «No», Kuchisake Onna will kill him with her scissors

Hikiko-san
Mori Hikiko was a young girl from some unnamed part of Japan whose parents made her a victim of child abuse, which is why she went to school with marks of blows on her face and body. Her classmates, far from showing solidarity with her, despised her and made her the object of their mockery. His teachers, instead of dealing with this serious problem, pretended not to notice anything strange. It is surprising that in a society with standards of compliance and social correctness like Japan, such a serious event could have happened, but according to legend, it was like that. Mori Hikiko wandered between school and home, without speaking to anyone, without anyone willing to befriend her, and faced with the indifference or cruelty of her parents, who took out their daily frustrations on her. If they weren't angry with her, they simply ignored her. The misfortune began to unfold one afternoon when Mori Hikiko found a small stray cat near the school. She adopted it as a pet and felt very happy, after so many long years of loneliness, to finally have a companion. Knowing that his parents would refuse to let an animal into the house, he found a box to serve as a home for his pet and provided it with food every day. To ensure that its meowing would not alarm his parents or neighbors, he hid the box in a secluded spot near the school. For a while, Mori Hikiko was content with her lot. It showed in the way she dressed and in her demeanor during class. Hardly anyone paid attention to her, so few noticed the change. However, there were two classmates who wondered what was happening to this normally shy and withdrawn young woman who silently endured the mockery of her classmates. They decided to follow her one afternoon after school. When, once again, Mori Hikiko met her kitten to bring him food and play,
The wicked boys planned to give him trouble again. The next day, Mori Hikiko was delighted to meet her pet when she noticed that the cat was not in the box and was nowhere to be seen or heard. Mori Hikiko was in despair. She searched frantically, but found only a note saying that if she wanted to see her kitten again she should go immediately to the parking lot where the teachers and professors parked their cars. Mori Hikiko ran there. When he arrived, he saw his two classmates hiding next to the car of the teacher of the class they attended. They were holding the cat. Mori Hikiko begged for it to be returned to her, but in response, and smiling evilly, the boys tied the cat to the back of the teacher's car just as he was about to get into the vehicle, without noticing what was happening right under their noses. He started his car, but before he could get it going, Mori Hikiko had grabbed onto the rope holding her cat. She was dragged for several blocks before anyone noticed the teacher carrying a little girl hanging from his car. By the time she stopped and several passersby rushed to help her, it was too late: the little animal had survived, but Mori Hikiko, in her efforts to save it, had hit the pavement too many times. It was dead. Several months passed. One day the two boys who had tied Hikiko's cat to the teacher's car (and who had never confessed their guilt) skipped class. When the school contacted their parents, they said they had left early for school. A search was organized. They were found dead in the school parking lot, where they had tied Mori Hikiko's cat to the teacher's car. They had been so badly beaten that their bodies were only recognizable by their school uniforms. That same day, authorities
The bodies of Mori Hikiko's parents were found in their home. They had been beaten to death. Turned into a living dead, fuelled by the vengeance of the spirit of the avenging woman, Mori Hikiko protects children in Japan who are abused by their peers or family members, and children who have a cat as a pet. Some people claim to have seen her,8 walking slowly, with signs of beatings and abuse, and of having been dragged by a vehicle, through the nights of Japan, watching over the bullies to see that they receive their punishment.
