History

Zeldris was born as the second son of the Demon King after Meliodas (and third when Estarossa existed according to the memory forged by Gowther) being considered "the weakest" of the brothers, because Meliodas was considered the strongest and bloodthirsty of the entire Demon Clan and Estarossa as the fusion of the best of Meliodas and Zeldris; so he admired and feared his older brother at the same time. To strengthen himself, he trained for a long time, becoming the most skilled swordsman in his kingdom, as well as having a great magical power comparable to that of his brother Meliodas. During the ancient war, Zeldris was in charge of executing the Vampire Clan who had attempted a rebellion against the Demon Clan but it ended in total failure. Despite being in charge of this, Zeldris did not execute them, choosing to seal them away due to the love he had for Gelda. At some point afterward, he fought his brother Meliodas. In the absence of Meliodas after his change of sides, he had to assume command of the Ten Commandments, and he also had to be the Executor and representative of his father the Demon King, something that came to him suddenly, which harmed him. Near the end of the war, he was sent to capture or kill the recently escaped Gowther, during which he easily defeated Giant King Drole, and offered him and Fairy King Gloxinia positions in the Ten Commandments. At some point, he was assigned as the Piety of the Ten Commandments to replace Calmadios. Later, along with the rest of the Demon Clan, Zeldris was sealed by the Goddess Clan within the Coffin of Eternal Darkness after losing the ancient war against the Four Races.

Thought of the 7 deadly sins

The group was originally an order of knights serving the kingdom of Britannia and was led by Meliodas. Unbeknownst to most of its members, the Seven Deadly Sins were formed for the express purpose of defeating the Ten Commandments. 16 years ago, the King of Liones had a premonition through his Vision ability, that they would become the protectors of the kingdom. Upon hearing this, both Meliodas and Merlin took it upon themselves to find the other five members, in order to stop the Ten Commandments, if they were to be revived. The Seven Deadly Sins served Britannia for six years, earning a reputation during this time as the strongest knights in Liones. However, due to being framed for murdering Zaratras, the Great Holy Knight, they were branded as bandits and traitors. Meliodas ordered the group to disperse to avoid capture, and everyone was able to escape separately. It is suspected that one of the members may be a traitor who helped plot the schemes and knocked Meliodas unconscious shortly after giving the order to escape. He was later revealed to be Merlin, though it appears that she had a motive for doing so that has yet to be revealed. The Seven Deadly Sins reappeared ten years later in the kingdom, after six of their members had reunited. They helped the third princess of Liones, Elizabeth, free the kingdom from the oppressive rule of the Holy Knights and stop Hendrickson's plan to release the Demon Clan's seal. Following Hendrickson's defeat, the Seven Deadly Sins were praised as heroes for saving the kingdom and were absolved of their false crimes, welcoming them back to the Kingdom of Liones once more. After this, two members of the group separated from the rest, while the other four became embroiled in the battle against the Ten Commandments.

Thought of the 10 commandments

The Ten Commandments were formed by the Demon King when he intended to bring the Demon Realm under his control. His plan was to bestow half of his power to his servants in order to conquer everything at once. However, in order to not give too much power to one individual and put his position at risk, he divided half of his power into ten fragments which he bestowed upon ten of his elite soldiers in the form of commandments. Three thousand years ago, the Demon Clan was fighting against the Goddess Clan (who had allied themselves with the Giant Clan, the Fairy Clan, and the humans). The Ten Commandments at the time were led by Meliodas until he ended up betraying them, killing two of their members, Aranak and Zeno, in the process who would later be replaced by Drole and Gloxinia. Another of their members, Gowther, abandoned his position in the group upon escaping from his prison in the Demon Realm and eventually died, his place being unofficially taken by Fraudrin. Archangel Mael, his identity having been manipulated by Gowther to become "Estarossa", received the Commandment from Meliodas and replaced him in the group. Calmadios also lost his place in the group at some point, being replaced by Zeldris. The Ten Commandments were eventually sealed in the Casket of Eternal Darkness alongside the rest of his clan. However, Fraudrin, who had been sealed separately, was accidentally freed by Danafor's people and spent the next few years trying to free his people. If someone manages to absorb the Ten Commandments, they will obtain unimaginable power, but their will will be completely under the control of the Demon King.

Calmadios (commandment of piety) Gowther: (Commandment of Selflessness) Aranak (commandment of Rest and patience) Meliodas (was granted the Commandment of Love, but had to abandon his commandment to betray the 10 commandments, then his Commandment was given to Estarossa) Zeno (commandment same as Aranak)

Thought of the Giant Clan

The Giant Clan was the first of the five races to appear in Britannia, and among the races themselves the fighting prowess of the Giants is said to be unmatched. Their societies are led by great warrior chiefs. According to the legends of him, Drole was the highly respected ancestor of the Giant Clan after having developed a sacred dance with a great connection to the earth. 3,000 years ago, the Giant Clan allied with the Clan of Goddesses, Fairies and Humans to fight the Demon Clan and seal them in the Coffin of Eternal Darkness. Giants live for battle and were often hired by humans from different kingdoms to help them fight their battles as mercenaries. Because of this, the Giant Clan slowly dies due to the combat deaths that may have occurred.

Thought of the Fairy Clan

Fairies are one of the most influential races in the world, their high longevity and great magical gifts make them one of the most influential clans. Fairies are born naturally within nature, specifically from flowers and trees. The average lifespan of a fairy is between 1000 and 1500 years, they do not appear to age physically and never suffer from illness. Even after death, their bodies do not decompose or rot. Fairies are peaceful creatures, their appearance in the vast majority is somewhat childish, in many cases being the appearance of a child. With the exception of King and Elaine, all of them have insect wings behind their backs and have pointed ears. Fairies do not have wings at birth, they grow gradually throughout their lives. Having fully developed wings is a symbol of maturity, and sometimes this is accompanied by an increase in magical power and a slight change in appearance. It is believed that fairy wings can produce life-prolonging medicines, so they have a very high monetary value.

Thought of the Vampire Clan

Three thousand years ago the Vampire Clan fought as subordinates of the Demon Clan in the ancient war. Sometime while the war was taking place the vampire king Izraf had planned to carry out a rebellion that however was unsuccessful so the demon Zeldris was in charge of executing them, despite this he chose to seal them in an ancient sarcophagus for thousands of years. Sometime later the seal was mysteriously broken leaving the vampires free who took over the Kingdom of Edinburgh. Later the Seven Deadly Sins arrived in Edinburgh and a group of newly converted soldiers confronted Ban but he easily killed them. The member of the Royal Family, Orlondi also confronted Ban but was defeated and killed. King and Diane of the Seven Deadly Sins, confronted Ganne and Modganne, and because Ban stole their strength they could not defeat them, but then Gowther appeared and made them kill each other. Gelda and Ren met Meliodas and the latter attacked him thinking he was Zeldris, however Gelda knew it was not him and burned Ren alive, when she was alone with Meliodas she told him to please kill her since she did not want to continue living. Finally Escanor faced Izraf, the Vampire King, who was winning but when dawn broke Escanor used his powers and killed Izraf.

Thought of the Goddess Clan

The Goddess Clan and its kingdom were created by the Supreme Deity, after she was created by Chaos, along with the Demon King and the Sacred Tree. Three thousand years ago, the Goddess Clan waged a great war against the Demon Clan, but the two were equal in power. However, when the leader of the Ten Commandments, Meliodas, betrayed them, he eliminated two of the commandments, which gave the Goddesses the opportunity to defeat the Demons by convincing the Giant Clan, the Fairy Clan, and the Humans to join them. As a result, the Demon Clan was eventually defeated by the Goddess Clan and their allies, who sealed them in the Casket of Eternal Darkness. Despite their victory, the Goddess Clan lost much of their power and ability to maintain their physical forms to seal away the Demon Clan. The souls of the Goddess Clan came to dwell within objects, only able to manifest in the physical world by taking the body of another being as a vessel. Other members returned to their realm leaving only the Horn of Cernunnos as a relic of rituals and allowing them to communicate with the people who used it. They also left a great religious impact on the people of Britannia. One of the evidences that his existence was real are the Druids, a group of humans who worship the Goddesses along with nature and reject the Demons, although Meliodas seems to be an exception. Similar to the Ten Commandments of the Demon Clan, the Goddess Clan has the "Four Archangels", and according to Monspeet, even the Ten Commandments must be wary of them.
