Story

Saul Hudson, better known as Slash, was born in 1965 in Stoke-on-Trent, England, to a white English father and a black American mother who worked in show business. His mother was a costume designer for David Bowie, and his father designed album covers for musicians such as Neil Young and Joni Mitchell. He moved with his mother to the United States at the age of eleven, while his father remained in England. In the mid-1970s, he attended Beverly Hills High School. He was raised by his grandmother, as his parents had divorced and his mother was not into Saul. At the age of 15, his grandmother gave him his first acoustic guitar, which had only one string. Soon, together with Steven Adler, he founded his first band, The Road Crew. Then Slash met Axl Rose and joined the band Guns n' Roses, created by Axl and Izzy. The band members and his friends: Duff McKagan - Bass Guitarist; Izzy Strandlin - Rhythm Guitarist; Axl Rose - Vocalist, one of the founders of the band; Steven Adler - Drums and childhood friend. Slash is one of the best guitarists.
