Flowey

Flowey has the appearance of a conscious golden flower. Its structure consists of a white androecium, six yellow petals, and a light green stem. Flowey can distort its face to show various expressions, and can imitate the faces and voices of other characters. In some situations, it imitates Toriel and Asgore, as well as its former self at the end of the Genocide Route. It also imitates the protagonist's face before the final battle of the Neutral Route.

Initially, Flowey operates under a facade of friendliness and politeness. He often greets the protagonist with Southern slang such as "Hello!", refers to himself as "your best friend", and, like his father, adds polite words such as "oh my god" to the end of his sentences. Whenever he drops his facade of friendliness, he often calls the protagonist an "idiot". As a soulless flower, Flowey is neither human nor monster. Because he has no SOUL, he is incapable of feeling compassion or love, and primarily seeks pleasure in a complex and disturbing curiosity that stems from his ability to "remake the world" with his determination. He retains his memories between saves because he was previously able to SAVE himself. In the Genocide route, it is revealed that despite his emotional numbness, he was not always amoral and initially used his saves to help others; however, as time went on and his inability to feel continued to persist, all the while trying to satisfy his ever-growing curiosity, Flowey - reluctantly at first - decided to commit murder, telling himself that he should have known what would happen.[3] Flowey currently has a vicious and ruthless personality, scolding the protagonist for not following his "kill or be killed" philosophy. Despite this, he also criticizes the protagonist at the end of "Ruins" if they killed any monsters.[4] He is manipulative, devious, and able to plan and act in a sophisticated manner if the circumstances require it.[5] When a situation arises that Flowey has no control over, he can act out of desperation or even pure cowardice, the latter being shown when he kills his estranged father to appease the protagonist in a futile attempt to save himself at the end of the Genocide Route.
