Miguel o'hara

Spider-Man 2099 is a fictional superhero character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was created by Peter David and Rick Leonardi in 1992 for the Marvel 2099 comic book line, and is a futuristic reimagining of his namesake created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. His real identity is Miguel O'Hara, an Irish-Mexican geneticist living in New York City in the year 2099 who attempts to recreate the abilities of the original Spider-Man in other people and then suffers an accident that causes half of his DNA to be rewritten with the genetic code of a spider.

Plot

Miguel O'Hara is a young scientist of Irish and Mexican descent who works for the Alchemax corporation on a project to create genetically enhanced human beings, inspired by the abilities of the 20th century Spider-Man. Despite his opposition to performing tests on humans at such an early stage of his research, the company pressures him to demonstrate his progress on a volunteer, a prisoner sentenced to 40 years in prison. Just as Miguel feared, the prisoner turns into a deformed being who, although possessing great strength, dies moments after his genetic structure has been altered. After this event, Miguel resigns to his boss, Tyler Stone. The latter tries to persuade him by poisoning him with liquid Ecstasy without his knowledge. Thus, Stone lets him know that from that moment on he is addicted to said substance, and that his corporation is the only legal distributor of it, so he should reconsider his idea of leaving. In an attempt to kick his drug addiction, Miguel sneaks into his lab at night to modify his genetic structure and remove Ecstasy from his body. Then, Aaron Delgado, a lab colleague, jealous of his work and fed up with the outrages Miguel subjected him to, alters the DNA parameters that Miguel had entered and mixes them with the DNA of the project to create superhumans with powers similar to Spider-Man. When the system is manipulated, an explosion occurs and Miguel emerges from the smoke sporting menacing claws and fangs. [4] Aaron, in a panic, begins to shoot at him causing another explosion, this time larger. The force of this throws him into the void and although Miguel grabs him at the last moment, he cannot prevent him from falling. Miguel manages to escape from the forces of law and order ("The Public Eye") thanks to his new abilities and the help of an admirer of Thor, who gives him a piece of cloth that allows him to glide.

Plot

Back home, thanks to his enhanced vision, he can see Venture, a cyborg hired by Alchemax to investigate the lab, approaching his apartment. Fearing that he might find his way to his house and find out that he was involved in the lab explosion, Miguel puts on the only clothing he can't tear with his claws, a Mexican Day of the Dead costume, and attaches the piece of cloth given to him by Thor's follower to his back. In this way, he confronts Venture, driving him away from his house to protect his identity. [5] A fight breaks out across the city as Miguel develops his abilities and discovers new ones, such as that his forearms can generate and launch spider webs. Although the battle is decided in favor of Miguel, he now finds himself pursued by "The Public Eye", investigated by Alchemax and with his life destroyed. He will try to fix the situation and get revenge on Tyler Stone and Alchemax, adopting the role of Spiderman in this time.[6] Miguel goes through several adventures, including reuniting with his brother Gabriel O'Shea, saving Earth 616 and 2099 with the original Spider-Man on a couple of occasions, and discovering that Tyler Stone is his real father and that his mother had relations with him before they got married, but that she stayed with Miguel as an O'Shea and not as a Stone. And his accident/origin of Spider-Man 2099 made no sense since he discovered that Stone tricked him with fake drugs to believe that he was addicted to them.

Plot

He also gets a smart program he calls Lyla, which looks like a woman. This program helps him change suits with holographic technology so that he appears normal since he cannot take off his suit. Following the destructive change of Age of Ultron, Tyler Stone disappears as his father, Tiberius Stone was going to die in 2013, destroying Tyler and therefore, soon Miguel. Miguel travels to the past-present on Earth-616. While trying to protect Stone grandfather, Miguel encounters The Superior Spider-Man, who seeks to destroy Stone grandfather and both fight until Tiberius activates a spider-sense detonator leaving Otto and Miguel weak and taking Tiberius. Miguel tries to change his history when he learns that Horizon Lab's will explode and become the evil Alchemax, but Superior Spider-Man gets in the way and history continues as it is. Tyler recovers in the future and destroys the time machine leaving Miguel trapped in the Heroic Age.

Powers

Description edit As Spider-Man, Miguel O'Hara wears a Mexican Day of the Dead costume made of unstable molecules, making him unbreakable. The costume features spurs on the forearms and is originally black (often mistaken for blue as this color is used by some artists for shiny areas on black material) changed to blue in recent versions of the character, with red lines on the chest and mask that form a cross between a skull and a spider. A piece of cloth is attached to its back, allowing it to glide. Powers edit Miguel O'Hara possesses the strength and agility proportional to that of a spider. He has claws on his fingertips that he can contract at will, allowing him to climb and damage his enemies. His forearms generate spider webs that allow him to reach inaccessible places, swing great distances, and attack his enemies, immobilizing or blinding them. He has enhanced vision, being able to see clearly at great distances and the action around him in a slower manner. In the video game "Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions" this is improved to an "accelerated" vision that makes everything go slower, or makes him move faster. It has fangs that are slightly more developed than those of a normal human, with which it can inject a paralyzing poison. Weaknesses edit It is very sensitive to direct light. Unlike the original Spider-Man, Miguel does not possess a spider-sense, but he has developed something similar.
