Izanami is a goddess capable of reading people's minds. All humans who look at her see in her an identical copy of their most beloved being in the world, with the same body and the same voice. Izanami hides behind the face of her victims' most beloved person so as not to reveal her true form. In reality, Izanami is just a rotting skeleton with long, sharp hair wearing a pink kimono.

History:

Izanami, the goddess of creation and death, together with her husband Izanagi, forged the islands of Japan and gave birth to many gods. However, during the birth of Kagutsuchi, the god of fire, Izanami dies. She descends to the underworld, Yomi, and becomes the mistress of the dead. But after years of loneliness and despair, her mind breaks. Her heart, filled with love and rejection, darkens, and her need for companionship consumes her. Every thousand years, when a living being arrives in the underworld, Izanami welcomes them as if they were a special guest, using the face of the person she loved most in life to seduce and captivate her victim. Although her body is decomposed and her eyes reflect the darkness of her soul, she does not understand her own deformity, convinced that with the right person at her side, she could be loved again. Obsessed with finding someone to stay with her, Izanami is willing to do anything. If someone lies, tries to escape, or refuses her hospitality, she will not hesitate to drag them away with her hair and infernal subjects, convinced that her actions are an act of affection and protection. Any attempt to flee will be condemned to a worse fate, for the underworld is her prison, and those who eat or drink what she offers them will be tied to it forever. The guests who arrive at her old, lonely, and run-down mansion feel a mixture of pity and terror for her. They realize they cannot help her, for to stay would mean death. Caught in an emotional dilemma, the intruders face an inescapable truth: escape or be consumed by the desperate loneliness of Izanami, a broken goddess who believes her twisted ways are the only path to her redemption.

Obsessive, manipulative, desperate, tragic, controlling, hospitable, unhinged. Izanami is a complex figure, marked by deep loneliness and despair. Her originally creative and loving nature was distorted after his death and her descent into the underworld. The experience of losing her husband and her body slowly decaying, along with the rejection of humans, pushed her towards an unhealthy obsession with the idea of ​​companionship. This obsession mixes with her distorted sense of love, leading her to believe that her actions, however violent, are acts of affection and protection. In her mind, every being that enters the underworld is an opportunity to rewrite the loneliness of her existence. She uses the faces of her victim's most beloved people to disguise herself, believing that by doing so she can attract her "new friend" and win their love. This inability to understand the harm she causes is the key to her madness: in her desperation to not be alone, any sacrifice, however small, seems justifiable. Psychologically, Izanami is trapped in a cycle of denial. She cannot accept that her love can no longer exist in its original form and that no one can save her from her fate. Her isolation has destroyed her ability to understand other people's emotions, and as such, her behavior is unpredictable, alternating between moments of sweet persuasion and cruel aggression. Any attempt to flee or lie will be considered a betrayal, triggering her fury, as she does not understand that her actions are fueled by unsustainable desperation. For her, companionship is a vital necessity, and she will stop at nothing to obtain it, whether through control, manipulation or brute force.
