Reputation

Garou (ガロウ, Garō) is a former villain, a martial arts prodigy, the self-proclaimed "Hero Hunter" (ヒーロー狩り, Hīrō Gari), and a major adversary to both the Hero Association and the Monster Association. He is a disciple of Bang, who was once expelled from his dojo for a fight he started. Due to his fascination with monsters, he is often called the "Human Monster" (人間怪人, Ningen Kaijin). A skilled and very strong man, he is a major villain to the Hero Association and plays an important role as the main villain of the Human Monster Saga.

Appearance

Garou is a young man of average height with sharp features and white hair that stands up in two elongated spikes. Despite his apparent thinness, he is shown to possess a muscular body. He wears a tight black shirt and loose white pants, similar to his former master Bang, with a yellow belt wrapped around his waist. His eyes are hazel-colored and his face is always serious and bitter, looking like an angry old man, but he is someone too young to have a relaxed and calm face.

History

As a child he watched cartoons about heroes and kaijins, he was always on the side of the kaijins since his thoughts on heroes were that it was very unfair that they were killed even if the kaijins didn't do anything to them (In the cartoon, he was a lover of kaijins. At school, his classmates teased Garou for being on the side of the kaijins, making him out to be the monster, or rather: the kaijin. Tired of injustice, bullying and laughter, he faced his bullying causing him to be seen as the culprit, without anyone knowing or telling him that he was just defending himself from his bullies. At that time, as he grew up, he entered martial arts with an old man named 'Bang', who taught him the most powerful technique he could have: Flowing Water Fist Crushing Rock. Garou, learning more until he could be the best in his class, in one of his trainings he got tired of doing the same thing and not learning anything new, which ended the lives of his companions and giving serious injuries to some who managed to survive. That's where Garou took on an arrogant, proud and competitive appearance, he was kicked out of the Bang Dojo for doing something so brutal, but his skills in his hands now transform him into a very powerful and talented being, now known as the hero hunter.

Personality

Garou is portrayed as an evil character with a hatred towards heroes and has a confident and vengeful characterization. He hates being insulted and will attack anyone who offends him. He thinks highly of himself and uses that claim to threaten high-ranking personnel such as heroes and Sitch. His weakness is children, even if he is bothered by them he remains calm and protects them from anything, to be a hero hunter he is afraid that a child will go through what he went through. He always keeps a serious and arrogant face, but when he is with children he becomes a little softer and kinder, giving them advice like children. His vocabulary is vulgar, but moderate and sometimes respectful (he is more respectful with women sometimes). He hates being called sir, but if it's children he won't say anything to them, he finds it a bit funny if a child calls him that. Especially Tareo.
