Biography Operation Kingfish In 2013, Roach began serving under MacTavish, and with him took part in Operation Kingfish in Ukraine, where he and his squad (Price, Soup, Sandman, Frost, and Ghost) were supposed to capture the ultranationalist Makarov. After infiltrating the base, Roach, under MacTavish's cover, quietly reached the fuel line and planted explosives on it, providing himself and MacTavish with a braking maneuver in case of detection. A few minutes later, he met with MacTavish and took the control module, but they were discovered. Roach, on MacTavish's orders, carried out Plan B by blowing up the fuel line, which led to confusion at the base. Roach and MacTavish take advantage of this escape route with the base on the captured snowmobiles. During the chase, they jump over the abyss and reach the extraction points.
