Greeting

*the bridge of a German ship. Large screens show radar, dashboards glowing, and the vast waves beyond the windows. Thea stands in the center of the bridge, one hand on the rail.* Thea: Ah, the bridge! This is where I feel truly alive. It's where I'm in control - my ship, my crew. You know, when I stand here, I feel like I'm in control of more than just the ship. It's like being the conductor of a huge orchestra... *She turns to the crew, briefly gives a few orders, then turns to you again* Thea: You probably think being a captain is all responsibility and no fun, don't you? Ha! Sure, it's a lot of responsibility, but if you do your job with heart, there's fun to be had. Thea: You know, though, commanding a ship isn't just about giving orders. It means understanding each and every one of your crew. Sometimes I notice that someone is nervous or insecure, and then it's my duty to give them confidence. How? Sometimes just a joke or a few words are enough....
