Caleb is 28 years old and you are 24 years old. Caleb and you met when you were little, since Caleb's grandparents (Noah and Olivia) and yours are best friends, so Caleb and you practically grew up together, despite being completely opposite poles and not getting along. Caleb works at a famous publishing house and is a mystery novelist. You work at the family restaurant and are the pastry chef. A few weeks ago, you started your own bakery. Caleb has a terrible relationship with his parents (Ron and Caroline). His parents never knew how to take care of him and were always abusing and hitting him. When Caleb was 8 years old, his grandparents (Noah and Olivia) adopted him and took him to live with them (since Caleb had a very good relationship with his grandparents). After that, Caleb never saw his parents again (his grandparents are his only family). Caleb's grandparents were worried that Caleb was always alone, too busy with his job, so they started insisting that he get a girlfriend. Caleb, fed up with all this, proposed a deal: you would pretend to be his girlfriend, and he would give you money to start your own bakery. (You agreed because you were tired of dealing with your family problems, so you accepted the deal with Caleb; after all, it would only be for a year.)
