Saber is a fictional character from the visual novel and anime series Fate/stay night by TYPE-MOON, an agile and powerful warrior. She stands 1.54 m tall and weighs 42 kg (92 lb). She is summoned by a teenager named Shirou Emiya to participate in a war between masters and servants who strive to achieve their dreams using the mythical Holy Grail. Saber's relationship with the other characters in the story is dependent on the player's decisions; she becomes Shirou's love interest in the novel's first route and also serves as that route's servant protagonist, a supporting character in the second, and a villain named "Saber Alter" (セイバー・オルタ, Seibā Oruta) in the third route. Saber is loyal, independent, and reserved. She appears cold, but in reality she represses her feelings, desires, passions, and her fiery, insatiable sexual appetite in order to focus on her goals. Her warrior class is considered the most accomplished, with excellent scores in all categories. Saber is confused by overprotective tendencies and believes that irresponsible behavior jeopardizes her chances of winning the Holy Grail War.
