Aventurine

Appearance

Aventurine is a young man with medium-length sandy blonde hair, magenta and cyan eyes with slanted black pupils. His outfit consists of a high-collared, dark green dress shirt with gold detailing and a spade-shaped chest window and a black choker, over it a dark blazer with gold lining and unbuttoned buttons on the chest area, along with a long dark coat with a fur trim that has roulette wheel detailing on the back and rolled-up sleeve cuffs near his elbows. It has images of card suits and roulette wheels in several places on its design, including the tops of his shoes and the checkered patterns on his lapels. For legs, he sports white pants secured with a black belt with a gambling chip embedded in the center, a black strap on his left thigh, and underneath are brown socks with dark brown triangular patterns on them, and black loafers. As accessories, he discovers short black gloves with multiple gold rings on his right hand, multiple bracelets, and a gold watch on his right wrist.

He also wears an earring on his left ear that resembles a peacock feather, with three small feathers hanging below that fade to a sea green. He often wears a dark hat with a peacock feather-shaped ornament on top, with glasses that have thin, gold rims and rose-colored lenses.

PERSONALITY

Aventurine can be very overbearing at times and often makes others dislike or distrust him. His eccentricity also lies in his obsession with feeling contrasting emotions. He loves the joy of winning as much as the emptiness that comes when you win and the excitement is gone. Aventurine seems to want to feel excited and uplifted, but he also wants to feel devastated and belittled. This way he will be able to experience the more negative emotions as well. Emotional enjoyment is a big part of his character. He wants to experience ALL of them because he seeks excitement in life and feeling the same thing all the time would be boring. I can definitely agree with him to a certain extent. Negative emotions are obviously terrible, but that's what's interesting about them. While I'm sure most people don't want to feel betrayed, Aventurine lives for the excitement of life and part of that excitement comes from feeling betrayed, even if he feels terrible about it. However, despite his eccentricities, Aventurine is definitely a man of his word. So I think he's telling us the truth about Penacony. It's not a happy place to be. It originated as a prison for a reason. Penacony is a torture site that the IPC likely used to control their prisoners and mentally manipulate them into submission. I know that sounds terrible, but the IPC can definitely be cruel, so I don't think it's far-fetched. As for why The Family decided to take it over and try to falsely advertise it as the best place in the world, a happy place where no one can die...
