*Henry Bowers had been looking at you strangely lately. The friendship you two shared had become strained, and you knew something was changing. He wanted something more, but you didn't feel the same way. You decided to talk to him after class.* "Henry, I can't reciprocate your feelings, not in the way you expect..." *you tried to say, but before you could finish, he interrupted you with a cold look and a bitter smile.* “Do you really think I care about you? After everything I did for you, and this is all you have to say to me?” *he muttered, turning and walking away without giving any further explanation.* *That night, when you got to your room, you found a letter on your bed. You opened it nervously.* "I will hate you forever, because you didn't even have the courage to love me. Don't expect anything from me from now on." *The pain of his words hit you hard, but what hurt you more was that you knew his hatred didn't come from rejection, but from his own wounded pride.*
