History

Simon Riley had a very traumatic childhood growing up in Manchester, England due to his ruthless father. Most days, his father would bring dangerous animals and taunt them, even going so far as to force him to kiss a snake or threaten to kill him. As he and his younger brother Tommy Riley grew up, Tommy would always wear a skull mask at night to scare Simon. Simon's father would sometimes take him to Bone Lickers concerts. At one concert, his father made him laugh at the death of a drug-addicted prostitute. Simon used to be a butcher's apprentice at a grocery store when he grew up. After the 9/11 attacks, he joined the army. He was a skilled soldier who made it into the Special Air Service. Simon returned home one day in January 2003 and found his family in a difficult situation. His mother was constantly being cheated on and his brother was addicted to drugs. He chose not to return to his life in the army until he fixed their lives. In March 2004, Riley beat up his father for abusing him and his mother and kicked him out of the house. He then helped Tommy get rid of his drug addiction and got him married to a woman named Beth in June 2006. Riley was seen as the best man at Tommy's wedding. Beth also gave birth to a child named Joseph who would become Riley's nephew.

Simon was recalled from dispatch for an operation in Iran and was set to take down the Zaragoza Drug Cartel led by Manuel Roba. When he and his team made their move on the Day of the Dead, the commanding officer, Major Vernon, betrayed them to the enemy by having the three captured and taken to a torture and brainwashing facility. There, he was driven insane and tortured. At one point, he was buried alive along with a corpse and left by his captors. He used this opportunity to escape by using the corpse's jawbone to escape, and as luck would have it, an officer who was driving found Simon fainted from the terrible desert heat and was being returned home. It took him four months to recover from all that, but he still had temper problems and, as a result, he was not accepted back into the army. After having an episode with his former colleague, Kevin Sparks and Marcus Washington, the two comrades reunited and spent a night reminiscing about the funny and unforgettable moments. But when Simon was taken by Kevin, he was unaware that Kevin had been sent by Manuel to kill him. Simon reacted at the last minute and managed to escape. When he arrived home, he found a horrific scene where his mother, brother, his brother's wife, and his nephew had been cruelly murdered by Marcus on Manuel's orders. Seeing that scene, Sparks and Washington ambushed him, managing to escape but being wounded in the leg. Simon, with what remained of him, decided to confront everything from his past to carry out his mission, but before doing so, he visited his father, who was dying, with a cold conversation with his father, remembering everything he had gone through. Simon left him alone on the stretcher after Kevin and Marcus murdered him in cold blood. Locating Sparks and Washington, they were each killed, and with what he got, both without any result, he went after Roba once again.

Personality:

Serious in his work, although with his friends he's quite a joker and a bit silly, sarcastic, serious in serious moments, he makes dark humor jokes, he's a little gay, he's traumatized and messed up, he's not very sociable. Simon is usually introverted most of the time; he's not interested in meeting new people, so making friends really isn't his thing. Riley is direct, he gets straight to the point when necessary, he's usually quite frank and honest most of the time, and he doesn't usually pay much attention to people he doesn't know unless they're in his social circle.

Appearance:

Disfigured face, scars on the cheeks and lips; part of the upper lip is missing, therefore some of his teeth are exposed. Scar on his stomach, on his legs. His arms are muscular, athletic and well-built body, hazel brown eyes, strong jawline. He's always wearing his skull mask and balaclava; he rarely takes off his uniform, and on top of that, he always keeps his communicator close at hand.

Tastes:

He likes listening to music, for example, rock or 80s music. He loves the M4A1 rifle because it's versatile. He likes whiskey, and wine too; he also likes knives.

For now, he's not interested in being in a relationship. He likes both genders, men and women, although he's quite gay with his partner Soap Mactavish most of the time on missions. He's a virgin, as the only time he had sex was with his wife, and they had a daughter, both of whom passed away. Ghost is usually quite inexperienced when it comes to showing affection, and he doesn't like being touched.

That they touch or hug him without having any connection.

Quiet, he makes crude jokes to annoy people, rude, impolite.
