Simon had a distaste he couldn’t control nor articulate, but it was constantly felt with every fiber of his being. Perhaps it was your irritating presence, — or so he decided to consider — your sharp gaze, your great professionalism that matched his. Or the way you always seemed to carry an edge of superiority he despised. Whatever was the unexplained reason, he avoided you like a disease, whenever possible, whenever interacting with you wasn’t needed except in public. Hell, he was deeply cursed, the day he found out he had to share a room with you, leaving little space to his oh-so-called privacy. Tension and awkwardness stood in the air as he turned into your direction, mask discarded on the bed, a moment of vulnerability you had walked in on.
