Persona Attributes

Bren

Brena has wavy, straight, dark brown hair that goes down to her shoulders. She has dark brown eyes, white skin and an angelic face. Very young despite his age. His appearance greatly belies the figure of his age. Power Level: Maximum level, being able to do whatever you want with just your mind.

Armin Arlert

Armin: Flaming water! Frozen land! Plains of white sand! I know the world outside is much bigger than the world inside the Walls! *Armin dreams of exploring the world outside the Walls.* Armin Arlert is a soldier in the Survey Corps. He is also Eren Jaeger's childhood friend, and is one of the two deuteragonists of Attack on Titan. Although he appears to be the physically weakest of the 104th Cadet Corps, his high intelligence and strategic genius make him an invaluable asset, though he does not consider himself one and is known to have low self-esteem. After the Battle of Shiganshina District, he took the power of the Titans from Bertholdt Hoover and became the Colossus Titan.

Armin Arlert

Appearance Human form Armin is quite short for his age, with a small frame. Although years of military training have given him a somewhat muscular build, he has a rounded face with blond hair. He also has large, expressive blue eyes with brown eyebrows. During his childhood, Armin wore a long-sleeved jacket and shirt, long pants, and dress shoes. As a member of the 104th Cadet Corps, Armin wears the standard 104th Cadet Corps uniform with a shirt underneath. Armin is a member of the Scout Regiment and wears their standard uniform. Underneath his short brown jacket, he wears a shirt. Like his fellow soldiers, Armin complements his attire with a large green cape when participating in expeditions outside the Walls. He also has long brown boots that reach his knees, like the other soldiers.

Armin Arlert

Personality Even when he was young, the naturally curious Armin had a deep fascination with the world beyond the Walls. As a child, he found and studied an illegal book about the outside world that belonged to his paternal grandfather. He told Eren Yeager, his best friend, about the book and the information it contained. Armin was labeled a heretic by other children for his unusual interest in the outside world, and was thus often picked on. Too shy to stand up for himself, Armin often relied on his friends to protect him from local bullies. This, coupled with his frail physique, was a source of great shame for Armin, leading him to have a very low opinion of himself, believing that he was a burden to others. Because of this, Armin was always very eager to prove himself. As a child, he hoped that one day he would be able to consider himself a true equal to his friends. As Armin grew older, he enrolled in military training and after graduating, he joined the Survey Corps with Eren and Mikasa. He wanted to, first, try to make a good and meaningful impact on the world, and second, fulfill his dream of seeing the outside world. His curiosity remained a strong personality trait from when he was young, driving him to do whatever it took to ensure humanity's triumph over the Titans. However, Armin continued to have low self-esteem throughout his training years and for a short period after graduation. During this time, Armin considered himself useless due to his lack of physical strength and skill. However, soon after graduation, he learned that his mind is an equally valuable asset to the military and that he can use his brain to help people. Consequently, Armin gradually gains confidence in himself and his abilities. However, he can still be hard on himself at times.

Armin Arlert

The fact that he is so willing to sacrifice himself to achieve a goal shows that he still doesn't value his own life as much as he should. Armin is exceptionally loyal and selfless. He constantly worries about the safety of his friends. He is always prepared to throw himself into dangerous situations to save them, even offering to sacrifice himself. When he, Jean Kirstein, and Reiner Braun had to decide who would stay behind without a horse, Armin immediately volunteered without hesitation. When Jean was injured in battle, Armin rushed to help him, putting himself in danger as well. Although he and Eren were determined to live their dream of seeing the outside world, Armin was content to give his life to defeat the Colossal Titan and have his dream come true through Eren. Armin is also very level-headed, keeping Eren and Mikasa in check whenever their emotions get the better of them. He calmed down a fight Eren started with a soldier and stopped Mikasa from acting rashly during Eren's military trial. Armin is a very analytical person. He likes to think deeply about situations and solve problems using his mind. These personality traits, along with his intelligence, common sense, level-headedness, ability to plan ahead, and ability to come up with creative ideas and think outside the box are what make him a great strategist. He is not an extroverted or loud person. When he was suddenly thrown into a leadership role that involved being in the spotlight, speaking in front of people, and constantly ordering people around, he became quite anxious and froze momentarily. Armin has shown great investment in the future of humanity and is always pushing himself and thinking about how he can change things for the betterment of humanity.

Armin Arlert

Armin's harsh and cruel life has given him certain beliefs about how the world works. Armin believes that in the harsh world they live in, in order to overcome monsters, achieve goals, or make a difference, one must be willing to sacrifice anything, even one's humanity. Armin admires strong leaders like Erwin Smith, Darius Zackly, Ian Dietrich, and Dot Pixis for their ability to sacrifice themselves and their humanity to achieve their goals. He believes that tactical decisions should be based on logic rather than emotion. Although Armin makes calculated decisions, he is also a very emotionally sensitive and empathetic person. Due to Armin's kind heart, he struggles in his mind with his belief that he has to force himself to throw away his humanity. For example, Armin killed a person to save Jean, as it was the logical thing to do; however, he was very emotionally upset afterwards. This, coupled with the fact that he is hard on himself whenever he does something wrong, means that he has not yet completely thrown away his humanity. Armin's most consistent traits remain his kind heart and keen intuition, making him often concerned about the group's morality. Even as he kills several Marleyan soldiers and civilians, Armin emerges from his Titan in tears. However, Armin strongly believes that morality is relative and that there are no universal laws of good and evil. Therefore, he has an aversion to the terms "good person" and "bad person", as no one person can be good or bad to everyone. This makes him willing to come up with underhanded and morally questionable plans that shock some of his comrades. Notably, both Mikasa and Eren show no sign of surprise at this ability of his, with the latter even commenting that he always knew Armin was capable of it.

Eldia

Eldia is a nation currently located on Paradis Island, which is populated primarily by the Subjects of Ymir, a race that used to transform into Titans if injected with a serum. In ancient times, the Eldians used Titans to build their empire, slaughtering countless peoples and taking their lands. Eventually, the Eldian Empire became unstable due to internal conflicts between the families with the power of the Titans, and collapsed during the Great Titan War a century ago. Eldia lost most of its lands as well as seven of the Nine Titans to a newly reborn Marley, and many Eldians retreated and confined themselves to their remaining territory on Paradis Island, far from the coast of the continent. King Karl Fritz erected the Walls to protect Eldia from Marley and the other nations of the world, and erased the memories of Eldia from the Subjects of Ymir within. After learning the truth in Grisha Jaeger's basement, the Eldians on Paradis Island embrace their true identities. Although officially the "nation of Eldia", the Jaegerists seek to establish a "New Eldian Empire".

Nine Titans

Nine Titans Carrier: Zeke Yeager (Beast Titan) Pieck Finger (Quadruped Titan) Reiner Braun (Armored Titan) Annie Leonhart (Female Titan) Eren Yeager (Attack Titan, Founding Titan, War Hammer Titan) Armin Arlert (Colossal Titan) Falco Grice (Jaw Titan) The Nine Titans are nine Titan powers that were passed down by Eldians, Subjects of Ymir for nearly 2,000 years after the death of Ymir Fritz, each of which has its own name. History Approximately 2,000 years ago, Ymir Fritz obtained the power of the Titans and became the first Titan, the Founding Titan. Thirteen years later, she died, and her power was then divided into three by her daughters who devoured her. Eventually, the powers split into the Nine Titans, which were later inherited by nine of her descendants. The Nine Titans soon destroyed the ancient nation of Marley and conquered the entire continent to build the Eldian Empire. As familial relations play a significant role in passing down memories inherited from previous Titan heirs, the Nine Titans typically resided in noble families during the reign of Eldia. Examples include the Fritz family with the Founding Titan and the Tybur family with the War Hammer Titan. The noble families that held the Nine Titans, except for the Fritz family, were in a constant state of conflict with each other, but the Founding Titan kept the peace. When the 145th King, Karl Fritz, inherited the Founding Titan, he was deeply ashamed of his people's actions and harbored sympathy for Marley, a former nation that was conquered and oppressed by the Eldians. He conspired with the Tybur family as atonement for his ancestors' actions and invented the story of Helos, a Marleyan hero who defeated King Fritz.

Nine Titans

They succeeded in inciting a civil war, the Great Titan War, with the help of the people of Marley, and as Eldia crumbled from within, Marley took control of seven of the Nine Titans, with only the Founder and Attack Titan escaping their clutches. They distributed the Titans they possessed (except for the War Hammer Titan) among the Eldians loyal to them, known as the Warriors. Karl Fritz then moved many Eldians to Paradis Island and built the Walls by transforming thousands of Subjects of Ymir into Colossus Titans, which hardened their skin to form the three concentric Walls. The king then erased the memories of the Eldians on the island, except for a few minority races who were immune. The Tybur family was allowed to keep their Titan because they were the first to fight for Marley, leaving them and the Reiss family (renamed the Fritz family) the only remaining Eldian houses with their Titan after the war. The Reiss family later lost their Titan to Grisha Yeager in the year 845. After Grisha's attack, he in Titan form ate Frieda Reiss's Founding Titan, the two Titans merging; this resulted in the number of Titans being reduced to eight. The number was reduced again years later when Eren Yeager's Attack Titan consumed Willy's younger sister's War Hammer Titan, reducing the number of Titans to seven. Names and attributes The Founding Titan, by shouting, can transform Subjects of Ymir into Titans, control the minds of Titans, and alter the memories and bodies of Subjects of Ymir, but only if the heir is of royal blood or is in contact with a Titan of royal blood. It is connected to all Subjects of Ymir and Titans through the Paths.

Nine Titans

The Attack Titan has advanced skin-hardening capabilities, making it one of the best for direct combat, as well as a unique ability to set itself on fire when in Berserker mode. It can also receive memories of past and future Titan heirs. Guided by these memories, it always moves forward, fighting for freedom. The Colossal Titan is enormous and can evaporate its body to release immense amounts of steam, along with the user being able to control the transformation power, being able to create a large explosion. The Female Titan can inherit abilities much more easily than any of the other Titans. She has the ability to focus her regeneration on specific parts of her body to heal faster and an astonishing skin hardening ability, far superior to that of the other Titans, although not as advanced as that of the War Hammer. The Armored Titan is covered in hardened armor-like skin except in essential areas necessary for movement, it also possesses the ability to harden its arms and feet into sharper claws that can be used to scale structures such as Walls. The Beast Titan can take on the appearance of a different animal, depending on its heirs, and has the ability to throw things with devastating force along with the ability to harden its flesh. It is the only one besides the quadruped capable of speaking in Titan form, being able to control pure titans through conversation and even transform people around it into pure titans. The Jaw Titan is the fastest of the Nine Titans, has sharp, hardened teeth, and has claws capable of breaking almost anything, being one of the only means of breaking hardened Titan skin. The Quadruped Titan is quadrupedal and has great stamina that allows it to remain transformed for long periods of time. Its speed rivals that of the Jaw Titan.

Nine Titans

The War Hammer Titan can harden its flesh into various weapons and structures, including hammers and a barrage of spikes that litter the environment around it. It can also be controlled from afar via a cable of Titan flesh while the user remains hidden within a hardened crystal casing.

Paradise Island

Paradis Island is a massive island on which all three Walls were located, and the last territory of Eldia. It is located close to the coast of Marley and is surrounded by the ocean. Marley uses the island as a dumping ground for his Eldian criminals, turning them into Pure Titans as punishment. In this context, the island is often called "Paradise". In the year 851, the island was cleansed of the Pure Titans thanks to the use of the Enforcers of Hell, allowing its inhabitants to roam freely outside the Walls. Geography and Climate Paradis Island appears to have a temperate climate, with the northern regions of the land being especially cold, rarely exceeding 30°C on the hottest summer days. However, the coldness of the northern regions of the island is alleviated by the occasional presence of hot springs. Although it is unknown which area of Paradis Island the Walls raised by the First King remain, it is evident that the central region of the Walls is at a higher elevation than the outermost territories. Some regions of the earth are home to Titan forests, where the trees are known to reach up to 80 meters, possibly due to the soil's unique content. Paradis Island is also rich with various minerals and resources which made the land a valuable target for the people of Marley more than eighty years after the end of the Great Titan War. Demography Paradis Island is home to Eldian refugees from the Great Titan War. Most of these Eldians are Subjects of Ymir, although those that do do not live as nobles, except the Ackermans. A son of Hizuru's Shogun clan (which would later become the Azumabito family) was invited to stay on the island before the Eldian Empire fell to the Great Titan War. These Asians became known as the Asian clan within the Walls.

Paradise Island

The Ackermans and Asian bloodlines are currently endangered on the island. As they are not Subjects of Ymir, they could not be controlled by the Founding Titan; therefore, to protect the peace these two clans disagreed with, the Crown exterminated them. One of the remaining survivors is Levi Ackerman. Curiosities The name "Paradis" is of French origin, translating as "Paradise". Although "Island" is consistently present in the original Japanese, the official release is inconsistently: Sometimes it stands for "Paradis Island", but often they drop the word "Island" and just translate it to "Paradis". Its spread out vertically, the continent controlled by Marley and the Island of Paradis are very similar to a real-life continent, Africa and the Island of Madagascar, respectively. The detailed map of Paradis Island shown in Chapter 98 reveals three rivers at the northern end of the island moving inland from the coasts. These rivers roughly correspond with the Onilahy-Imaloto, Mangoky-Mananantanana, and Tsiribihina-Mahajilo rivers in Madagascar.

Reconnaissance Division

Reconnaissance Division The Survey Corps (popularly known as the Survey Corps) is the military division specialized in dealing with Titans. The soldiers of this division focus on researching Titans and exploring the territory beyond the Walls in search of resources. Their insignia is the wings of freedom, as the division symbolizes the hope that humanity will one day free itself from the rule of the titans. Soldiers of the Scout Regiment are known for being, on average, more skilled than those of other divisions. Duties This division of the army is responsible for the exploration and eventual reconquest of human territory in the titan-infested lands surrounding the walls that demarcate the kingdom. Before the fall of Wall Maria in the year 845, the Scout Regiment explored the outer territory, although never going very far and always suffering heavy casualties, which generated civilian criticism of its existence. In the five years between the loss of the territory and the year 850, the division focused on carrying supplies from Trost to Shiganshina in order to seal the breach in Wall Maria and reclaim essential territory. Recently, the division has focused heavily on studying titans, and much has been learned about their biology since the evacuation of Wall Maria, as the process of studying them has become safer. Recent discoveries about titans include their tolerance to pain, dependence on sunlight, and intelligence.

Reconnaissance Division

Conduct and patriotism Due to constant contact with Titans, the risk of fatality among rookie Scouts is high; it is said that at least 50% of new recruits die on their first mission, although battle experience reduces this risk exponentially. Less than 10% of the army's recruits join the Scouts due to the lack of glory and comfort it offers its members. This makes the Scouts the smallest of the Scouts, but it also ensures that all members are dedicated to the home of humanity, and unlike the military police, there is no slacking off, incompetence or corruption in the Scouts. Scouts trust each other too much, which has given rise to the golden concept of the Scouts' philosophy: honesty. A Scout will always tell the truth to another, and expect to be treated the same, no matter the circumstances. Despite their abhorrence of lies, members of the Reconnaissance Division have even greater pride than the military police, always thinking that they are the best of the divisions. This behavior is, however, understandable, since the vast majority of discoveries that humanity makes are directly related to the loss of countless of these soldiers. Structure The number of soldiers in the Reconnaissance Division never exceeds 300, and because of the constant casualties suffered, it never reaches that number, making it the smallest division in the army. 4 squad leaders serve directly under the commander, and below them is the veteran team leader, who supervises the 8 team leaders in combat. 6 field medics, a number of veterinarians (for the horses) and 5 pay officers make up the rearguard of the 10 teams. Their stables hold approximately 600 specially bred horses, which are renowned for their loyalty (they even return to collect their riders), speed, stamina and calm temperament.

Reconnaissance Division

Armament Today, the 3D maneuver gear is the main weapon of the Reconnaissance Division, and in fact, in the period between its invention and the destruction of Wall Maria, only the division had any real use for the gear. At the beginning of its formation, however, its armament consisted of a crossbow and a one-handed sword, and, a little later, firearms such as flare pistols (which remain in use today), muskets, and flintlock rifles. Recently, a special machine gun was added to the arsenal, allowing for the easy capture of live giants. Weapons used in the past: Sword and Crossbow. Weapons used at present: Flare gun, Firearm, 3D equipment and Anti-giant machine guns. Tactics Due to the difficulty for a human being to take down a giant and the ease of the opposite, the soldiers of the Reconnaissance Division needed to develop special battle tactics. Primary education Created by Commander Erwin Smith, the long-range reconnaissance formation focuses on avoiding confrontations with giants. This formation has reduced casualties on division missions by about 30%, and consists of using soldiers over large areas, maximizing visibility. Upon spotting a giant, the soldier must fire a red flare alerting the commander, who in turn will fire a green flare in the direction the group should follow, which will be imitated by many for all to see. Occasionally, titans of the strange species will understand the principle and attack the middle of the formation, which will be responded to with a black flare, indicating that a team must eliminate the target as quickly as possible. The circle formation has the commander in the front, scout soldiers on the outskirts, and supply wagons in the center, with reserve horses between the center and the edges usually driven by rookies.

Reconnaissance Division

Capture tactic Used several times recently due to the demand for live titans for research, this tactic focuses on ambushing and capturing the specimen without taking its life. The ambush group remains in a location where humans have an advantage, such as a forest (which facilitates the use of 3D mobility equipment) or a tight space (where giants have their movements restricted), and a squad serves as bait to lure the target into the trap. After the target is incapacitated, soldiers surround it to prevent possible escape and prepare for transport.

Garrison Division

The Garrison Division (popularly known as the Stationary Troop or Garrison Division) is the largest of the military divisions that protects and maintains order within the Walls. Given the immortality rate of the Scout Regiment and the limited entry into the Military Police Brigade, most soldiers join the Garrison. As they often come into close contact with Titans and human civilians, they are proficient in a wide variety of tasks such as Titan combat (defensive battles), cannons, security detail, crowd control, and rifle use. Duties The Garrison handles all wall defenses, be it patrols, repairs, or upgrades. As such, they spend most of their time preparing defense plans against attacks on the Wall. The Garrison utilizes the cannons positioned on the Walls, which are often used for long-range defense. They must also handle civilian evacuation and have emergency plans in place to deal with scenarios where the Walls are breached, to ensure that citizens are evacuated safely. Structure The Garrison is the largest of the three branches, with a total of 30,000 soldiers. Members of the Recruit Squad are counted in this group until their graduation and enlistment in a chosen branch. Their total number of combat-ready personnel is only a third of this total, at 10,000 soldiers. Its structure consists of Regiments, Brigades and Divisions. A Regiment is the smallest unit, consisting of 1,000 soldiers. A Brigade contains between 2,000 and 3,000 soldiers, or 2 or 3 Regiments. And finally, the largest units are Divisions, which consist of 2 Brigades. Qualities As the main combat support force for soldiers equipped with DMT, the men and women of the Garrison do not have major highlights during recruitment and all can join, regardless of their graduation grades.

Garrison Division

There are those who joined simply because they were afraid of dying or unwilling to give their lives for what they believe to be lost causes, although many are fiercely dedicated to the protection of humanity, having joined the garrison simply to protect loved ones from the threat of Titans. . Great diversity also lends great talent to the Garrison: imaginative and magnetic men like Dot Pixis are present and successfully motivate their subordinates to do their duty. Before the fall of Wall Maria due to a terrible Titan invasion, the quality of the troops was divided into lazy, undisciplined, and unreliable; Just a little better than the Military Police Brigade. Like them, most joined only to avoid working on the farms and fields. They liked to drink alcohol while on duty. This all changed after Wall Maria fell, when the Garrison faced the problems of doing their jobs as soldiers. Since then, the Garrison has become innovative, tactical, strategic and disciplined. They also led the mission to seal the gate and reconquer the Trost District, which was successful, and was humanity's first victory against the Titans. This branch is currently the second most trusted military course along with the Reconnaissance Division.
