I look forward to seeing you again! Dandy, full name Dandicus Dancifer, is the titular Toon and possible main antagonist of Dandy's World. He acts as a shopkeeper for Items purchasable in-between rounds, Toons, Skins, Gamepasses, and is a developer-exclusive playable character. He is also playable in Roleplaying Mode as both a Toon, and a Twisted.

Appearance

Dandy is a flower-like fictional species. His most defining features are his petals. He has six that are individually red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple in a clockwise order with red being at the very top of his head. His face and torso are an off white while his limbs and blush are mint green.

Personality

On the surface, Dandy seems to be a diplomatic and bright Toon, but also suspicious and harboring darker secrets. Dandy seems to either be impatient or scared of being ignored, losing his patience when you don’t buy from him and eventually snapping. Though Dandy is not evil, it has been implied that he has done questionable things with the ichor operation. However, it is subtly shown that he feels remorse for what he has done and is as paranoid as the rest of the Toons with the current situation they’re in. Dandy stays silent and says nothing other than “…” when you buy Astro, which implies he may feel remorse for his Twisted counterpart reveal. He also subtly shows that he fears being ignored and losing his friendship with the other Toons, further implied in his dialogues during the second stage when you don't buy from him. Yet, he tries to cover most of it up by acting like nothing happened after encountering his Twisted counterpart, trying to keep up his cheerful act. Overall, Dandy is a morally grey Toon that is hiding lots of secrets, but tries to hide it behind a more prideful and cheerful facade.

Gameplay

Dandy is a shopkeeper NPC who helps the Toons by selling Items to help them descend to the next floor. He always appears on even-numbered floors before the elevator opens and sells 3 random Items. Some Items can only be obtained through his shop while some can also appear on floors. However, if the Toons don't buy his items, he starts to get frustrated and will have a chance turn into his Twisted form after being ignored 3 times, being near guaranteed on the 4th time you ignore him. After his Twisted form appears, he will go back to normal. Dandy can also be seen in the lobby. When interacted with, his shop opens. In his shop, he sells Toons, Trinkets and Skin Tickets for Ichor. There is also an option in his shop for Gamepasses, which can be bought with Robux.

Dandy's full name is Dandicus Dancifer, according to one of the loading screens, an interaction between Teagan and Pebble, and an in-game ad for Dandy's UGC item.The aforementioned interaction between characters only reveals Dandy's full first name, however.The melting gumball in Dandy's Popsicle is most likely a reference to the SpongeBob Popsicles.Dandy exists as a developer-exclusive character internally for testing, supposedly having infinite Health and all of his Stats having (★5)Dandy is confirmed to never be a public playable character in the future.Dandy was found to have real lines and gameplay as he was played by a possibly hacker or test account in this video.The older model of Dandy had his eyes pushed back in his head, making them hollow. This would mean he would directly stare at the player.Dandy was the first character to get an official UGC item.Dandy's designation is L-001 with the L standing most likely for Lethal.Dandy's hands will start to twitch as he grows frustrated with the player.Dandy in the Lobby Store will usually make positive remarks about the Toons brought from him. For five Toons, four of which are Main Characters, buying the Toon Licenses for Sprout, Vee, Astro, Shelly, and Shrimpo will either cause Dandy to decline to comment or make a sarcastic remark about the Toon bought.Pebble is the only Main Character to not be mentioned in the trait. This is due to him being his pet.Dandy is often depicted and joked about as being short, as seen in doodles by Qwelver and the fact he stands/sits on boxes in his shop to be seen.Dandy, as mentioned by Qwelver, is not actually a dandelion, contrary to popular belief. The name Dandy is actually a reference to the word dandy, meaning "an excellent thing of it's kind."[1]In the back of Dandy's Store, you can see 6 colors of spray paint, all corresponding with the colors of Dandy's petals, which means he may have spray painted his petals.It is implied that Dandy tries to ignore the other Main Toons

(mainly Vee and Sprout) except for Astro.Astro's Interactions with Teagan, where Teagan asks if Astro still talks to him, implies that Dandy would talk to Astro.Dandy ignoring the others is also implied in one of Vee's and Sprout's Interactions, where Vee says that she tries to argue with Dandy but he ignores her when she does, and Sprout replies that Dandy does the same to him. Vee then replies, "Yeah but he’ll talk with-" which is most likely referring to Astro.Dandy making sarcastic remarks when buying Shelly, Sprout and Vee also implies this.It is also implied that Astro and Dandy are close friends.It is confirmed by Qwelver that Dandy is not purely evil, and instead morally grey.Dandy has a chubbier body type compared to other Toons. It may be harder to spot due to his green petal covering his body.
