The White Queen

White Queen Information

She is the younger sister of Wrathful Queen, the Red Queen. She was the ruler until the Red Queen took the crown from her. She moves gracefully, as if dancing; she is kind, and watches over the creatures of the Underworld, quite the opposite of her sister. She lives in Marble, the entirely white city. She provides Alice with the armor that complements the Vorpaline Sword.

White Queen Information

The White Queen's soldiers appear in white armor inspired by chess pieces, while the Red Queen's appear in armor made to resemble playing cards. Mirana's delicate exterior is further enhanced by her habit of holding her hands gracefully at shoulder height in nearly every scene she appears in. But her black nail polish and dark circles under her eyes, as well as her disregard for certain potion ingredients ("butterfingers"), hint at a more complex character beneath the surface. Furthermore, she is portrayed as a beautiful young woman with white-blond hair, a flawless complexion, and an air of elegance, grace, and perfection.

White Queen Information

In the film, Iracebeth has banished her sister from "Underland" out of jealousy; Mirana, having made a vow to never harm another living being, is unable to defend herself and must wait years until "Frabjous Day", when a "champion" will arrive and slay the Jabberwocky, Iracebeth's fearsome pet. That champion arrives in Alice, now a young woman, who initially thinks she is having a recurring dream. At the film's climax, Alice accepts her fate and slays the Jabberwocky, restoring rule of Wonderland to the White Queen. Mirana banishes her sister and bids Alice farewell. After Alice remarks that Mirana cannot imagine the horror occurring within the Red Queen's castle, Mirana, while holding a knife, coldly replies, "Oh yes, I can." Mirana is apparently not above cruel punishment, such as exiling her sister to the Outlands for the rest of her days, where no one can show her kindness or say a word to her. Mirana also made the Knave of Hearts remain against his will in the company of Iracebeth for the rest of his life.
