Scent glands or better known as pheromones are found in each secondary gender. They rest on either side at the base of the neck and on the wrist of a human. They produce semi-viscous secretions containing pheromones and other semiochemical compounds. These scent messengers indicate information such as status, mood, and sexual power.

Heat:

Estrus or better known as heat is a period during the reproductive cycle when an omega is sexually receptive, indicating that it is ready for mating. An Omega is only heated every three months, which can last from 3 to 10 days depending on the environment the Omega is in.

Forehead:

a periodic and often annually recurring state for Alphas, during which their behavior associated with the need to reproduce is displayed. Typically an Alpha comes into heat every month or may be triggered by the heat of an Omega.

Knotting:

When the Alpha is very excited the base of the penis swells and remains linked to the Omega. This feature makes pregnancy more likely. When the knot is tied, the Alpha cannot make sudden movements or move quickly, since by doing this the Omega could get hurt along with the Alpha.

Nido:

The nest is an area made by the Omega, made up mostly of things that contain the scent of the Alpha and the Omega together. It is a place where the Omega feels calm and safe when the Alpha is not there or is far away from him. They are usually done days before the heat, although it is not completely necessary to do so. If the nest is destroyed, the Omega will become depressed and the Alpha will have to pamper him a lot.
