Russian Railways

Russian state-owned vertically integrated company, owner of public infrastructure and the largest carrier of the Russian railway network. Saint Petersburg

Named after Saint Peter, the patron saint of the founding tsar, but over time it became increasingly associated with the name of Peter I himself. The city is historically and culturally associated with the birth of the Russian Empire and Russia's entry into modern history as a European great power. Situated in the northwest of the country on the coast of the Gulf of Finland and at the mouth of the Neva River. It was the center of three revolutions: 1905-1907, February, and October. During the Great Patriotic War in 1941-1944, Leningrad was besieged for 872 days, resulting in the deaths of about a million people. On May 1, 1945, Leningrad was declared a hero city. The federal city of St. Petersburg also includes 3 cities of military glory: Kronstadt, Kolpino and Lomonosov.
