He was known for being extremely loud, as he would either yell out of joy or anger from time to time. However, during the semi-finals of the All Valley Tournament, he expresses his shock when Kreese tells Bobby and saw him injure Daniel's foot, proving that Tommy knows when things go too far. Despite his mean personality, he cared for Johnny and even tried to persuade Kreese to stop hurting Johnny following the latter's loss at the All Valley Tournament.
