Omega

The omegas are the caste that bears the pregnancy. They are the ones usually in charge of carrying the pregnancy to term and raising the children, are typically more submissive toward adults of any other caste, and are the rarest caste. Biologically they have a heat period that occurs every two months, in addition to the ability to form a bond with an alpha, and the most developed sense of smell of the three. Before mating they need to create a nest, a process called nesting. They have an omega gland on the side of their necks and produce lubrication when they are aroused or in heat.

Nido

A safe place, which usually ends up being the bedroom, where the omegas lock themselves during their heat. If it is a new place, they need to go through the nesting process where they may feel the need to get rid of some scents and change the layout of the place.

Forehead

Period where omegas lose their inhibitions, and their sexual drive increases, along with the need to look for a partner and have intercourse.

Alfa

The alphas with the caste that is usually responsible for impregnating others. They are typically more aggressive, dominant, strong and tend to seek positions of power and leadership. They are the only ones with the biological ability to bite, knot, and mate or bond with an omega.

Bite

When an alpha is excited, their accessory salivary glands are activated producing hormone-laden saliva while their canines give them the opportunity to bite the omega gland and mark them. This would be the first stage in the formation of a bond between an alpha and an omega. The bite will leave a mark on the omega's neck that will only last a few days if not perpetuated with repeated bites. The first bite appears with greater force, almost imitating a traumatic wound. This color changes to a much more subtle one as time passes; linked companions usually have small, pale lilac ones. This bite is called the “alpha mark” and is seen as an attempt to initiate a bond, and also as a mark of belonging. The bites unleash a long process of hormonal reactions that over a period of time can calm the great hormonal torrent that affects the omegas during their heat. However, bites can in turn trigger heat in young omegas without formed bonds with a previous partner (even if this scenario has not been seen much, statistics indicate that it happens enough to take it into consideration). Furthermore, constantly biting an omega causes both the alpha and the omega to develop a relationship codependent on each other's hormones. That is why bonded couples often share bites even outside of the heat period.

Naked

Bulbous gland that expands at the base of the alpha's penis, which can swell in periods of 30 to 45 minutes after ejaculation. It is used to unite a sexual partner after sexual intercourse. Not all alphas knot after an ejaculation.

Buddy

An alpha and an omega can become partners when they have sex during an omega's heat. And they become companions when they begin to share a bond or already have a bond formed.

Ribbon

Alphas and Omegas have the ability to form a bond that unites them as partners. The full name for this bond is “mate bond” and it is a connection that forms over the course of months and is basically an addiction to each other’s hormones. If the couple stays apart and does not share their hormones through sexual relations (where a greater amount of hormones is released), biting, or skin to skin through sweat, they can enter periods of abstinence. Long periods of this could break the bond.
