Mahoraga Summoning Ritual

Mahoraga is conjured by the user using an incantation that recites "With this treasure, I summon..." (布ふ瑠る部べ由ゆ良ら由ゆ良ら, Furube Yurayura?) before invoking the Divine General's name. Rather than form a shadow puppet with their hands to manifest the shikigami, the user simply extends both arms forward at a slight upward angle with their fists closed.

Appearance

The shikigami itself is a towering, muscular humanoid figure with four wings protruding from its eye sockets and a tail-like appendage extending from the back of its head. Hovering just above this is a large eight-handled wheel (法ほう陣じん, hōjin?) that rotates as Mahoraga responds to new stimuli. "Furu's Incantation" of the Ten Sacred Treasures and this wheel represent a "perfect cycle" and "harmony". Mahoraga also sports black hakama bottoms and a white sash around its waist to cover most of its lower body.

Abilities

Mahoraga has the strength to shatter concrete or to hit someone through multiple buildings with a single blow. It also wields the Sword of Extermination, a blade attached to its forearm that is enveloped in positive energy, making it especially effective against cursed spirits. The Divine General's most notable power is the adaptation (適てき応おう, tekiō?) to any and all phenomena, made visible through the turning of its wheel. If the General is hit by a particular attack, the wheel turns once the attack is analyzed, and Mahoraga adapts; if its adversary uses that same technique again, Mahoraga will counter it from then on. Generally speaking, Mahoraga's adaptions can be defensive in nature (becoming physically resistant/immune to attacks while healing any injuries incurred pre-adaption), auxiliary (allowing the General to become able to see normally invisible attacks), as well as offensive in nature (letting Mahoraga modify the properties of its own attacks to overcome and bypass enemy defenses, such as switching from positive to cursed energy around its sword depending on whether it faces a curse or human sorcerer, or developing space-cutting slashes to overcome a barrier of "infinity").

Mahoraga's Adaptation Ability

Mahoraga's adaptation process begins analyzing an attack upon initially receiving it, with its progress being indicated by the number of times the eight-handled wheel spins. After a certain amount of time, the adaptation is completed. During this time, if Mahoraga is hit by the same attack additional times, the process is sped up each time. Even after its adaptation is complete, Mahoraga can continue its analysis and develop different ways to counter the phenomenon. If Mahoraga is tamed, its user can bear the burden of adaptation. This means the user can wear Mahoraga's wheel and experience attacks so the shikigami can adapt to them without incurring the risk of destruction. Once the process is completed, Mahoraga can be summoned with the results of the adaptation already in effect.

History of Mahoraga (+ Ritual Explanation n' stuff)

Mahoraga is the most uncontrollable shikigami in the history of the Ten Shadows Technique. It has never been tamed or commanded like other shikigami in the history of the entire Zenin clan. However, users of the Ten Shadows Technique can summon it via an exorcism ritual in an attempt to exorcise it at any time. Other people can be included in the ritual, but defeating the respective shikigami will not allow the Ten Shadows Technique user to use them. Generally, this would be considered an impractical summoning. Nevertheless, Megumi believes this is an ace in the hole, his last resort in the most threatening situation. The average Ten Shadows User can take their adversary down with them by summoning Mahoraga and forcing his opponent to participate in the ritual.

Strengths

The creature is distinguished by a mystical sigil etched on its back. This sigil plays a pivotal role in its powers. If an adversary fails to obliterate this sigil with a singular, decisive blow and subsequently subdue the entity, the sigil begins a rotation. This motion bestows upon the creature the ability to heal itself up to nine times. Additionally, as the sigil rotates, the entity undergoes a transformation, making its capabilities increasingly formidable and vexing for its challenger. Armed with the revered "Eight-Handled Sword", this shikigami specializes in banishing curses. A unique trait of this entity is its adaptability. With each rotation of its sigil, it not only rejuvenates but also fortifies its resistance against previously encountered assaults, constantly refining its combat strategy to be ever more lethal. Sword of Extermination

Sword of Extermination (退たい魔まの剣つるぎ, Taima no Tsurugi?): A sword fixed onto Mahoraga's right arm. Its (normally) enveloped in positive energy, which is a weakness to curses and erases them.
