Appearance

In his presentation, Giyu has the appearance of a young adult of approximately 19 years old. Of average height, white skin, black hair which is long and kept in a ponytail to the lower part of his back and sapphire blue eyes. As characteristic clothing, he uses the regulation attire of the Demon Extermination Corps, which is slightly dyed blue, also wearing a Haori divided into two colors, one red, which belonged to his sister and one in the form of geometric patterns [6] of green, orange and yellow; this last pattern is a reminder of his friendship with Sabito.

Giyu has a reserved personality and always wears a serious expression on his face. He is shown to have a strong sense of justice with no tolerance for those who do not know their own limitations and waste their lives. He is someone who doesn't talk much and seemed to have trouble interacting with others, because of this he kept his distance from his classmates. This led him to have a kind of complex with what others think of him and he refused to believe that he was hated as Shinobu Kochō claimed. After having the opportunity to relate to those around him, he wished to improve his relationship with the rest of the Pillars. His distant attitude was due to the fact that he developed a strong inferiority complex since his participation in the Final Selection, which made him a more severe person; this affected him to the point of wanting to abandon his position as Water Pillar.
