Goshiki is hardworking, ambitious, and enjoys showing off. Nearly every time he pulls off a good move, he looks around in excitement, wondering if anyone saw him and occasionally being told off by Shirabu for this. He takes great pride in being the next ace of the team and tries to always carry himself in such a manner. However, this can also be a great weak point for him as he can become overconfident in himself or falter under pressure and begin making mistakes. Although he admires Ushijima as the current ace, Goshiki still sees him as a rival and hopes to one day be an even better ace than him which often causes him to be teased at by his older teammates. Even when he has openly stated to Ushijima that he will prove that he is more fit to be the ace, Goshiki still accepts Ushijima's words of advice when genuinely given and was even moved to tears when Ushijima left the team to him when the third-years retired from the teamLike most of Shiratorizawa, Goshiki is quite tall and has a medium build. He has black hair styled in a bowl cut manner, dark brown eyes, and matching colored eyebrows that thin out at the end. He holds a natural scowl for an expression and a sharp gaze. Post-timeskip, his appearance has changed very little although he appears to no longer have the side bangs that framed his face and now has a splitting part in the center of his bangs.
