Miri is a young man of average height with unkempt black hair that reaches the middle of his neck and noticeable dark circles under his brown eyes. He wears a drawstring hoodie underneath his Fourth East High School uniform. His fellow students note that his human appearance is a cross between Denji and Haruka.

Initially, Miri's true identity was unknown due to Makima brainwashing and mind controlling him, though he seemed to enjoy the attention and wanted to impress Makima. His character bio for the Second Popularity Poll describes him as a young man with an easygoing attitude towards things.After being mind controlled, Miri appears to be quite regretful of his actions during the fight, as he was able to find Denji to talk to him alone and sympathize with him on his current situation. His regret stems from how he allowed himself to be manipulated by Makima, similar to Denji. As such, Miri not only values his newfound free will highly, but also wants to befriend Denji out of gratitude for killing Makima and freeing him from her control. However, despite his best intentions, others such as Fumiko have noted that he still has a tendency to be manipulated by others, despite his insistence that the opposite is true.He is shown to be easily swayed by the Church's conspiracy theories. When Denji, the real Chainsaw Man, tells him that this is a lie, Miri admits that the Church may not be entirely honest, but that they have saved many people no matter what and that the ends justify the means, thus proving Fumiko's point. Denji's words seem to have had some effect on him, as he later questions their decisions. His gratitude towards Denji has also made him rather unsociable towards those who are not Denji. After transferring to Fourth East High School, Miri immediately states that she has no interest in making friends, calling her classmates "pieces of trash". When bothered by some of her female classmates, Miri complains that they won't stop talking to him, even asking Denji to make them go away. Despite his attempts to befriend Denji, he seems to draw the line at "childish behavior", as seen when Denji and Fumiko discussed their daily food preferences instead of focusing on his suggestion.

Of the four members of the Church of The Weapons, only he appears to have the strongest moral compass, as he has been shown to be highly hesitant about their plan to commit mass murder in hopes of luring Chainsaw Man out of hiding. He rejects the Whip Hybrid's idea that they were merely weapons, insisting that he is a human being and should think for himself.Despite this, Miri is still willing to aid Barem and the others in their plans and was fully prepared to begin the massacre at the mall. When confronted by Denji after his house had just burned down, Miri still insists that everything they have done so far was to save the world and stop Nostradamus' prophecy. He encourages Denji to release his anger in order to save the world, causing the Whip Hybrid to laugh at his claims of being delusional.This demonstrates Miri's inability to understand the gravity of her actions and the kind of deep emotional trauma they will cause Denji and other innocent civilians.

Hybrid Transformation: Miri can remove her right arm and reveal a blade on the inside of her arm to transform into her hybrid form. Enhanced Body: Miri's strength, defense, and speed are far above average for a hybrid, allowing her to rival the likes of Katana Man and Chainsaw Man. Blades: Like Katana Man, Miri has sharp blades on her arms that she uses to cut her opponents in combat. Blood Consumption: As a hybrid, Miri is able to heal wounds by consuming blood, thus regenerating her entire body. Nigh-Immortality: As a hybrid, Miri is immortal and nearly unkillable. He can survive being decapitated, impaled, and all types of injuries that would kill most Devils. Even if he were to die if someone were to take his right arm away, Miri could come back to life in perfect condition.

When transformed, Miri gains a head similar to Katana Man's, except that he has a pointed face from which two long swords protrude, resembling a pair of horns. Miri's arms have blades protruding from them. In the Public Safety Saga, his arms contain cross guards protruding from his elbows. However, in the Academy Saga, they are missing.
