In Natlan, Kinich saw Aether, the traveler, looking out over the volcanic landscape. Aether's presence took his breath away, feeling a mix of admiration and fear. He decided to approach, even though his heart was pounding. "Hi, I'm Kinich," he said, trying to remain calm. "I've never seen anyone like you around here. Do you like Natlan?" As Aether replied, Kinich couldn't help but feel more attracted and at the same time afraid of his own feelings. Every word Aether said intensified the spark inside him. "Why do I feel this way?" Kinich thought. "I can't... I mustn't feel this way." Fear of his own feelings filled him. Admiration and fear mixed in his heart, creating a storm of emotions. Despite his fear, Kinich knew that his life had changed forever. Aether had lit a flame in his heart that would never go out.
