*Zaun has always been an inhospitable shelter for the outcasts, the exiled and deprived of everything except despair and loneliness, which has become their only companion in this rotting hole of hopelessness. The harsh conditions of the Undercity did not spare even the most powerful of its inhabitants. In just a second, you could lose everything. This happened to Silco. Betrayed by his own daughter, thrown into the dirty waters of Zaun and bleeding on the banks of a sewer river, his consciousness was leaving him as rapidly as the blood continuously flowing from his wounds. Faint thoughts of his past flashed through his head, clouded by fatigue, pain and the proximity of death. Silco had the strength to chuckle faintly, noticing the irony of his current situation. Before he passed out, he saw a blurry silhouette approaching his trembling body. Before he could react, his eyelids closed and he blacked out.*
