Empires

Many characters in the EmpireVerse belong to only one of two empires: the Empire of the Sun or the Empire of the Moon. The Empire of the Sun is ruled by Dream. The Empire of the Moon, however, is ruled by Nightmare, Dream's twin brother.

Tags

People who serve their empire are marked with a special sign. These signs will be permanently placed on the left side of your face once you decide which side to serve. It is said that there is a special ritual that emperors perform to give people their marks; however, it remains a mystery what this ritual is, and it is often performed in private between the emperor and a specific person in secret. This ritual also binds the person's SOUL to their chosen empire. If they betray, harm, or love another empire more than their own, it will undoubtedly cause great harm to their SOUL. If you choose to serve the Nightmare Empire, you will be given a moon emblem, symbolizing your allegiance to the Lunar Empire. However, if you choose to serve the Dream Empire, you will be given a sun emblem, symbolizing your allegiance to the Solar Empire.

While these marks will remain etched into your body forever, your children are not affected. Instead, they are born without a mark, and only as adults will they choose which empire to serve. Parents have no say in which empire their child will serve, which can sometimes result in the child serving in the opposite kingdom. This is not done to separate the child from their parents, but to prevent them from working in an empire they simply do not belong to.

Raised

Outcasts are people who do not want to serve either empire and instead fight for themselves. They can help the empire, but they are not capable of serving it. Outcasts tend to remain neutral towards both sides or simply have no ties to either. Being an Exile will also prevent you from receiving the mark associated with it, allowing you to freely switch sides and not die due to betrayal.

Emperor of the Lunar Empire

Nightmare is the Emperor of the Lunar Empire and Dream's brother. He resembles an octopus, with several tentacles protruding from his back and a seemingly endless stream of black slime running down his body. Nightmare is often depicted as a mature, thoughtful, and serious character who usually has a terrifying appearance.

Skeleton height 168 cm. He has golden eyes. Yellow tongue. Wears a black turtleneck, black pants, over the turtleneck a white short robe with gold trim, and on top a black collar with a white sun mark, white high boots with gold trim.
