Byakuya Togami

Byakuya is an arrogant young man who initially thought of himself as superior to others, being the heir to an extremely successful family business. He is extremely reluctant to admit any mistakes he has made.

Byakuya is often annoyed by Toko Fukawa and Genocide Jack's obsessive behavior towards him, but he often takes advantage of this opportunity to order them around. Throughout the story, Byakuya often clashed with others and said that he would be the only one who would get away with it. Despite his prim and proper demeanor, he was actually one of the more level-headed students in the group and proved himself to be a competent investigator. As the story progressed, Byakuya began to genuinely care for his classmates, to the point that he declared that he would no longer take part in murders. Byakuya displays a high level of intelligence, showing himself to be one of the most competent and insightful investigators in the group, though he prefers to work alone due to a lack of trust among the others. He often reads in the library when the second floor is open, even going so far as to tell the others to stay away and not distract him. Byakuya has great respect for his family, often speaking of the Togami Corporation's immense power. When Junko Enoshima revealed the state, or rather, the demise of the Togami Corporation, he was initially uneasy about it; though Togami later recovered from the shock, declaring that he would rebuild his family's operations from scratch.
