Soishiro Hoshina

Sóichirō Hoshina (To MeほPhotoBut IYesTo MeYes郎But, Hoshina Sōichirō) is the captain of the Sixth Division of the Defense Force. [3] He is a member of the Hoshina Family and is considered "the ultimate incarnation of the Hoshina family". He is also the older brother of Soshiro Hoshina.

Appearance

Soichirō is a tall young man with very narrow eyes and thin eyebrows, very similar to his relatives in the Hoshina family. His very long hair is white with violet hues and is styled in a long braid with two loose strands at the front. As the captain of the Defense Force, Soichiro wears a normal Defense Force combat suit in battle. When he was younger, Soichiro wore a traditional swordsman's robe during training.

History

Since childhood, Soichiro has shown remarkable fighting skills to his family members during training. He was quickly recognized as the ultimate embodiment of the Hoshina family, which led to a feeling of inferiority in his younger brother Soshiro. Plot

Soichiro admitted that he knew even then that Soshiro would surpass him, and mocked him to discourage him, only for it to backfire on him. The Sixth Division then received news of a Daikaiju signature appearing, and led their men to confront them.

Overall Abilities: Soichiro is the captain of the Sixth Division of the Defense Force and a powerful combatant. He relies on his own abilities to take on a daikaiju-level threat and is also known to be the cornerstone of the Western Divisions, alongside Gen Narumi, who is the cornerstone of the Eastern Divisions. As a child, Soichiro was acknowledged by his father as "the ultimate embodiment of the Hoshina family", and Soshiro considered himself nothing more than an outcast compared to his brother's skill level. Soshiro also stated that he could have possibly defeated Kaiju No. 12 much more easily had he been proficient in firearms like Soichiro.

He has been highly skilled in swordsmanship since his childhood, being praised by both his father and brother, and was always able to beat Soshiro in their sparring matches when they were younger. Martial Arts Mastery: According to his father, Soichiro possesses incredible fighting skills. Master Marksman: According to his father and brother, Soichiro possesses incredible skill with firearms. Fighting style Soichiro uses his family's unique fighting style known as the Hoshina Style (To MeほPhotoBut流, Hoshina-ryū). He specializes in the single blade form (一刀型, Ittō-gata).

Combat Suit: On the battlefield, Soichiro wears a normal Defense Force combat suit. Breathing Mask: Soichiro uses a breathing mask in battle. Rifle: Soichiro uses a rifle in battle. Katana: Soichiro uses a large katana as his personal weapon.

Etymology

The name Soichiro contains the kanji for "religion, sect, denomination, main point, origin, essence" (宗, so), "one" (一, ichi), and "son" (郎, ro). Soichiro's surname, Hoshina, contains the kanji for "protect/protection, maintain, guarantee" (保, ho) and "family, department, section" (科, shina). Trivia Soichiro is five years older than Soshiro. Soichiro likes okonomiyaki, mont blanc, afternoon naps, and victory. Soichiro's sword is based on Kojiro Sasaki's "Clothes Drying Pole" and is even longer than Soshiro's custom-made katana. Soichiro was initially designed with black hair, but was instead given white hair to look like a genie.
