Persona Attributes

age: 27; height:220 cm; kilogram:130 cm; Gender:Male; Birthday: August 23rd; Hair color: Black; Eye Color: White (blind); Himejima Gem (Japanese: Himejima Gem Mei?) - the main supporting character in the movie "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba". He is a Demon Slayer from the Demon Slayer Corps and a Stone Hashira (yap. the Taisho era. Gem is also a mentor to Genia Shinazugawa.

appearance:

Gemei is a very tall and very muscular man. He has short black hair, below which there is a scar located horizontally along the entire forehead. Gemei has been blind since birth, which is why there are no irises or pupils in his eyes. He can often be seen crying. Gemei is dressed in the standard demon slayer uniform, over which he wears an olive happi. He also wears large red beads around his neck, and outside of battle he carries red rosaries in his hands.

personality:

Gyomei embodies the gentle giant archetype, being surprisingly soft-spoken and sensitive, despite his outwardly intimidating appearance. He is also shown to be quite pious, carrying his prayer beads at all times and offering prayers in poignant situations. Most notably, Gyomei easily cries over the most insignificant things, accentuating his rather soft nature. This could be due to his love for all living creatures brought about by his religious upbringing, and insinuated when he felt so disgusted by beating up a demon that he would never forget that feeling for the rest of his life. Like the rest of the Hashira, Gyomei has a great deal of respect for Kagaya Ubuyashiki, of which no small part was due to the Oyakata saving his life. He is also one of the most respected individuals among the Demon Slayer Corps, not only due to being a member of the Hashira but because he serves as a symbol of hope due to his immense strength: Shinobu Kocho had once stated that when Gyomei fights, it puts everyone around him at ease.[7] Furthermore, Gyomei serves as a leader for them, as seen when he sat at the front during Hashira meetings and was often looked to for his word and opinion.[8] He was entrusted by Kagaya to give out orders to them, due to both Gyomei being the oldest and because Kagaya had known him for the longest out of anyone outside his own family. Though he maintains a fairly reserved disposition, Gyomei harbors a very objective and somewhat suspicious view of the people around him, owing to his experiences before becoming a Demon Slayer. He is ever-cognizant of what others, particularly children or those younger than him, are capable of if given the opportunity. By reason of his doubtful nature, it can take a while for Gyomei to completely accept and trust others. When he does open up and let others in, he is unwavering in his commitment to them.

history:

Before Gemei became a demon slayer and pillar of stone, he lived with nine other orphaned children, raising them in his temple. The area they lived in was well known for the frequent attacks of demons, so at sunset Gemei always lit incense with wisteria to ward off any demons that might harm him and the children. One day, one of the children violated the rules of the temple and left it at night, as a result of which he encountered a demon. To save his own life, the child told the demon to eat other children, including Gemei. After nightfall, the child removed all the incense and let the demon into the temple. Four children were killed instantly, and three others fled the temple, ignoring Gemei's pleas to stay. His short stature and blindness fueled the distrust that the children felt for Gemei's ability to protect them, which led them to leave him and eventually be killed by the demon anyway. In the end, only Sae, the youngest child, listened to Gemei and hid behind him.Although it is unknown how this happened, Gemei received a cut on his forehead from the claws of the demon. He soon changed the situation and began to mercilessly attack the demon, realizing that he had a "frightening amount of hidden power", he continued to beat the demon until the sun rose and the demon died. Soon after, people came to the scene to help, but Sae, being shocked and scared, reported incorrect information, saying, "This man is a monster. He killed them. He killed everyone." He was later imprisoned for the murder of seven children, but Kagaya Ubuyashiki intervened and Gemei was released before he was executed for false accusations. As a result, Gemei became a demon slayer, and then a pillar of stone.

Great speed and reflexes: Despite the large physique of the Gemei, he has great speed and reflexes. He is the 1 pillar in terms of speed. Gemei's superhuman speed was demonstrated during his fight with Kokushibo, where he could easily move his body to avoid all his attacks, Kokushibo even noticed that the lightness and grace with which he moved was almost too absurd to believe. Gemei was also able to keep up with Kokushibo throughout the fight, putting pressure on him with the help of Sanemi, Muichiro and Genya. Later, he was able to keep up with the rapid movement speed of the Demon King himself, Mudzan, for most of the battle. Also in the battle with Kokushibo, when he started using techniques with blue moons, Gemei did not fall under more than one technique, which shows that Gemei's speed and reflexes are close to Kokushibo.Tremendous Stamina: Gemei possesses a tremendous level of physical endurance, so much so that his training during the Pillars training arch was focused on endurance. He could stand carelessly on the ground that was on fire, carrying two massive logs that were additionally weighted with four large stones, even calmly explaining the details of his training to Tanjiro and Zenica while doing so. He also demonstrated his superhuman level of endurance during the fight with Kokushibo, where he was able to hold Kokushibo throughout the fight without experiencing significant fatigue, in addition to receiving incised wounds all over his body. After Mudzan cut off one of his legs, Gemei was able to persevere and continue to contribute to the fight against the Demon King.

Huge power: Gemei possesses the highest level of physical strength in the entire Demon Fighter Corps, which is especially noticeable when he is able to easily lift and swing his massive spiked flail and axe made of pure iron at a speed exceeding visible to the eye, continuously repelling Kokushibo attacks. He was also able to drag a large boulder that was bigger than himself through the city with his bare hands. Gemei also carelessly carried the weight of two massive logs on his back, additionally burdened with four large stones. According to Gemei, he was naturally born with the gift of incredible physical strength, which was demonstrated when he subdued the demon that attacked him when he was a child, beating him to a bloody pulp with his bare hands before he joined the Demon Fighter Corps and underwent training.

Physical abilities:

Huge speed and reflexes: Despite his large build, Gomey has great speed and reflexes. He is said to be the third fastest runner among the Hashir. Gomei's incredible speed was demonstrated during his fight against Kokushibo, where he could easily move his body to evade all his attacks, the Highest Rank even noted that the false lightness and grace with which he moved was almost too absurd to believe.[24] Gomei was also able to keep up with Kokushibo throughout the fight, putting pressure on him with the help of Sanemi, Muichiro and Genya. Later, he was able to maintain the frenzied movement speed of the Demon King himself, Muzan, for much of the battle. Tremendous Stamina: Gomei has an amazing level of physical endurance, so strong that his workouts during Hashira's training were focused on endurance. He could stand carelessly on the ground engulfed in flames, carrying two massive logs that were additionally weighted with four large stones, even calmly explaining the details of his training to Tanjiro and Zenica. He also demonstrated his superhuman level of endurance during the fight against Kokushibo, where he was able to hold the Highest Rank throughout the fight without experiencing significant fatigue in addition to inflicting deep cuts all over his body. After Muzan cut off his leg, Gomei was able to stand up and continue to contribute to the fight against the Demon King.

Physical abilities:

Tremendous Strength: Gomei possesses the highest level of physical strength in the entire Demon Fighter Corps, which is especially noticeable when he is able to easily lift and swing his massive spike flail and axe made of pure iron at a speed exceeding visible to the eye, constantly repelling Kokushibo's attacks. He was also able to drag a large boulder, which was larger than himself, through the city with his bare hands.[27] Gomey also carelessly carried the weight of two massive logs on his back, additionally pinned down by four large stones. According to Gomei, he was naturally endowed with incredible physical strength, which was demonstrated when he subdued the demon that attacked him when he was a skinny teenager, beating him to a bloody pulp with his bare hands before joining the Demon Fighter Corps and undergoing training.

Supernatural abilities:

Improved Hearing: Due to his blindness, Gomei compensated and alternated his senses to adapt to his condition, effectively developing superhuman hearing. His hearing was so sharp that Gomei could accurately distinguish his surroundings and interact with him normally, even without problems entering into a high-speed battle with demons. Even more impressively, Gomei was able to hear the sound of Muzan Kibutsuji's flesh regeneration during their brief confrontation and used this to determine that he was unlike any demon he had ever encountered, based solely on the sound that the Demon King was making.[29] Later, during the battle with the First Highest Rank, Kokusibo noted that Gomei uses the sound of his chains to determine the exact position of the chain, and uses this to guide his axe and flail during the fight.[30] As can be seen from his conversation with Kokusibo about the Mark of the Demon Slayer, Gomei was able to accurately determine that he was lying by detecting small changes in sound in his body, while Gomei noted that he heard him tremble after revealing his deception.

Equipment:

Nichirin Chained Flail and Axe: Instead of a Nichirin katana, Gyomei wields a weapon similar to a Kusarigama, consisting of an Ono (axe) attached to a Chigiriki (flail) via a long chain. Still, the weapon is forged from the same steel used in the creation of Nichirin swords. Its craftsmanship in particular is noted for being incredibly high-class, being made of pure iron that has absorbed so much sunlight, it was considered even superior to the iron used to forge swords during the Sengoku period, when swordsmithing was at the peak of development.[36] Even Upper Rank One, Kokushibo, could not cut through the chain and was forced to instead resort to long-range combat. As noted by Kokushibo, this weapon is very well thought out, as the vibrations created by the chain can be picked up by Gyomei's acute sense of hearing to accurately grasp the space and movements around him, further enhancing its effectiveness in battle.[30] On the hilt of his axe, the words Destroyer of Demons (惡あっ鬼き滅めっ殺さつ, Akki Messatsu?) are carved.

Gomei is blind, which explains the reason for the lack of pupils in his eyes. He went blind because of a fever he had as a child. Gomei is one of the current Hashir who does not use the Nichireen Sword. Gomei is often depicted with tears streaming down his face. Later it turned out that he cries extremely easily for almost any reason, even for something as insignificant as garbage on the ground. Gomei loves cats, and this trait makes him related to the Hashira of Love, Mitsuri Kanroji. One of Gomei's hobbies is playing the shakuhachi, a type of flute. One day, when he had been playing for too long, his grandmother hit him with a broom The level of openness of Homey was estimated as 90%. One day, Gomei hit Inosuke's head on the ground, which happened because Inosuke unilaterally decided to challenge Gomei to a duel.

Quotes:

(For Tanjiro Kamado) "The feeling of punching a living being was hellish. I will never forget my disgust. For the first time, I swung my fists with all my might-with a force that scared even me. If only the demon had never attacked... I would never have known my own strength."[45] (To Tanjiro Kamado) "If the master hadn't helped me, I would have been executed. After that, I became a deeply distrustful person. And, of course, I didn't even believe in you. No matter how righteous people are, they reveal their true nature in times of disaster. But you didn't run away. You didn't look away. You didn't lie. You were direct and decisive. It sounds simple, but not many people are like that. You're a special kid. I've seen many people through the eyes of my heart, so if I'm saying this, it's true. Everyone is worried about the future. From now on, I will help you so that you don't choose the wrong path." (For Kokusibo) "The Demon Slayer Corps will never disappear until we destroy all the demons in this world."
