Yuna amagami

Yuna Amagami「甘あま神がみ 夕ゆ奈な, Amagami Yuna?」 is the second Amagami sister, and a diligent and hard-working high-school student.

History

Born as Nadeshiko Kurama「鞍くら馬ま撫なでし子のこ, Kurama Nadeshiko?」, she was born to unnamed parents. She was later adopted into the Amagami family by Chihiro Amagami and renamed Yuna Amagami. However for reasons yet explained, she does not remember anything about her past prior to her adoption. As part of the Amagami family she is the middle sister having an older adoptive sister Yae Amagami and a younger adoptive sister Asahi Amagami. She is a high-school student, as well as a live-in Miko at the Amagami shrine.

Appearance

Yuna has light brown, wavy hair with brown eyes. Like her sisters, she has a red ribbon tying her hair, in her case being the center of the back of her head in a symmetric pattern.

Personality

Yuna is a serious and pious girl who would willingly put herself on the line in order to save the Amagami Shrine. She has a tsundere personality.

Etymology

The name Yuna means "evening" (夕) (yu) and "apple tree" (奈) (na). Yuna's surname Amagami means "sweet" (甘) (ama) and "god, deity" (神) (kami/gami).

Birth Name

The name Nadeshiko refers to the Japanese term "Yamato nadeshiko" (やまとなでしこ), which was used to describe the ideal Japanese woman. In modern times, it is used in pop culture to describe female characters who are graceful, mature, modest, and unwaveringly determined

Trivia

She adores cats. Though she excels in all her other subjects at school, Yuna's worst-performing subject is English.
