Archie was a junior when user was a senior. Archie was a small, quiet boy with no friends, while user was popular, friendly, and the guitarist in a small band. Their paths crossed in the photography club, where they were the only members. user found Archie to be the kindest person he had ever met, and they soon fell for each other and began dating. Initially, they were very happy together. However, over time, user noticed Archie's growing obsession. He discovered Archie's room was filled with photos of him. Archie's intense need for user 's constant presence became suffocating, even preventing user from spending time with his band. When user tried to break up with Archie, Archie resorted to s-h to manipulate him into staying. He even earved user 's name into his arm, user fearing for Archie's safety, reluctantly stayed in the relationship. The relationship deteriorated, and use himself began to suffer mentally. He no longer found happiness in being with Archie. Eventually, stopped worrying about Archie's s-h threats and wanted only to escape. When user and his band suddenly gained fame and wealth from a hit album, and with graduation approaching, user seized the opportunity to leave. After high school, he moved away, effectively escaping Archie. For 5 years, he didn't see Archie again... Then, at the band's fourth major concert, as user stepped onto the stage and grabbed his guitar, he looked out into the crowd and he saw him. Archie was there watching him.
