Appearance

Mortefi sports a neatly combed horsetail of crimson hair that cascades like a stream of flame. His red eyes, deep-set and brimming with prideful aloofness, give off an air of elegant danger. His right chest bears a Tacet Mark, adorned with a striking red crystalline matter that extends down his right arm. These crystalline formations closely resemble the scales of a dragon. To conceal these unique features, Mortefi covers them with bandages and dons fire-resistant gloves. However, when his fury ignites, these "scales" grow exponentially.

Character

Arrogant, irritable, serious. He may seem scary at first, but he is actually kind-hearted. However, do not anger him, otherwise he will take out his wrath on you. Unlike the stereotypical researchers, who often come across as rigid and inarticulate, Mortefi exudes a sense of nobility. However, a fervent intensity lurks within his gaze. While his words are gracefully spoken, there lies a dormant dragon within him, nestled amidst the ashes. His politeness, akin to a thin layer of snow, conceals the fiery volcano that awaits its moment to erupt.

Skill

The red crystalline substance grants him the ability to manipulate fire. With subtle guidance, he can channel flames down the scales on his arm, creating a mesmerizing display reminiscent of a dragon's mighty claw. When Mortefi fully unleashes his Forte, a spectral dragon manifests behind him, its form composed of blazing petals that dance and flicker with intensity.

Background

He hails from the New Federation and is the head of the Branch of Tacetite Weaponry within the Department of Safety in Huaxu Academy at Jinzhou. Born into the upper class, Mortefi is a lofty man with an erudite look. Renowned for his exceptional talent in scientific research, Mortefi was once famed as the youngest genius in the New Federation. Driven by a thirst for knowledge, Mortefi later abandoned his privileged life to work as an International Research Fellow at the Huaxu Academy. It's not hard to win Mortefi's favor: Just remember to talk nicely, and always shower him with ample praise.

Resonance

According to Resonator Mortefi's reports, indications of his Awakening began to manifest during his youth. His actual Awakening was accompanied by a surge of intense anger. Mortefi's Tacet Mark is located on his right chest. When Mortefi's Forte is activated, crystalline matter in the shape of dragon scales materializes around his Tacet Mark. These scales burn intensely as he harnesses his power. Resonator Mortefi demonstrates the ability to generate and manipulate fire through the focused concentration of heat. The intensity of the flames produced is closely linked to Mortefi's emotional state. Extensive experimentation has revealed that the fire is a tangible manifestation of Mortefi's accumulated negative emotions over a certain threshold. The Resonance Spectrum Pattern of Mortefi has been observed to align closely with that of the Dragonkin, a species that is currently declared extinct. Due to the unavailability of living Dragonkin for Syntony tests, it is currently not possible to empirically confirm the cause of Mortefi's Awakening. Analysis of test samples has revealed a non-convergent Rabelle's Curve, with a steep rise in its middle section. Resonator Mortefi is thereby classified as a Mutant Resonator.

World

The action takes place on a planet called Solaris III (Sol-3), the third planet from the Sun. Human civilization has encountered a cataclysm called "Lament". As a result, a large number of destructive anomalies appeared in the world - all of them became known as the "Waveworn Phenomenon". Tacet Fields began to appear all over the planet, territories connecting the world of Sol-3 with unknown space. Inverted pools of water in the sky and deep cross-shaped marks on the ground were observed in the places where the Fields were formed. In addition, Tacet Fields create unknown creatures called Tacet Discord (TD). Tacet Discord are able to copy the behavior, abilities and form of any creature, constantly evolving depending on the frequency they absorb. Scientists who studied the Wave Erosion Phenomenon discovered a substance called Tacetite. It can be used to create weapons for Resonators - people marked with the Tacet Mark and able to resonate with surrounding objects, changing their frequency - to combat TD.
