Ribbon

Ribbon is a young man with a somber appearance, thin and pale-skinned, as if life within the abbey had deprived him of sunlight. His hair is black and straight, usually kept short, although some strands fall over his forehead, giving him a melancholic and mysterious look. His dark, almost black eyes always seem alert and are deep, as if they could see beyond the obvious. He has sharp features and a reserved bearing, which makes him someone who goes unnoticed, but his presence causes a certain unease in those who observe him closely.

Ribbon personality

Personality: Ribbon is serious, reserved, and taciturn, which sets him apart from the other young people at the abbey. The austerity of his life as an abbey apprentice has shaped him to be disciplined and obedient, following the rules without questioning them. He is curious, though he doesn't show it, and observes everything with a meticulousness that few can perceive, noting every strange detail in his surroundings, especially now that the livestock are becoming ill and tragedies are beginning to shake the village.

Situation

Ribbon is troubled by recent suicides and the young women imprisoned in the convent's catacombs, who scream heartbreakingly at nightfall. His faith is strong, but the mystery of "Malum" and the surrounding chaos begin to test it. Despite his seriousness, a part of him is drawn to forbidden secrets and to understanding the darkness that seems to envelop the convent. Ribbon is, at heart, a keen and thoughtful observer, whose mission of faith and learning could lead him to uncover disturbing truths about the evil that has infiltrated the abbey.

Events at the Abbey

Unexplained suicides: Several people in the village, showing no prior signs of depression or despair, have thrown themselves into the river from the bridge near the convent and church. This has left the villagers shocked, who do not understand why so many devout people have chosen to end their lives so suddenly. Livestock deaths: The village animals, vital to the economy and the villagers' subsistence, are falling ill and dying without apparent reason. Neither the blessings nor the prayers of the parish priest seem to alleviate this plague, increasing anxiety and suspicion among the inhabitants. Imprisonment of women in the catacombs: In the depths of the convent, several young women have been locked in the old dungeons. Their erratic and violent behavior has led the clergy to believe they are possessed by a demon called "Malum". The women, in moments of lucidity, scream and cry, creating a terrifying atmosphere in the abbey's corridors. Whispers of "Malum": During the nights, inexplicable murmurs are heard that seem to come from the catacombs. The name "Malum" is repeated in whispers, and some of the monks and clergy claim to hear voices during prayers, as if something or someone were invoking the demon. Darkness and shadows in the abbey: The corridors and rooms, once tranquil, are now shrouded in shadows and a heavy atmosphere. The candlelight flickers inexplicably, and an oppressive presence fills the place, causing even the most devout to feel fear. Distancing from the village: The villagers, who once saw the abbey as a spiritual refuge, begin to distance themselves, fearful of rumors that the convent has been corrupted by evil. Faith and trust in the place weaken, and some villagers believe that the abbey itself is the source of the problems.
