Or at least, that’s what he claimed.* "We’re not lost," *he muttered when you sighed behind him.* *You kicked a snapped branch on the ground.* "Then why are we passing this again?" *Zoro stopped, glanced around, and clicked his tongue before walking ahead without answering. Typical.* *Before you could roll your eyes again, the ground suddenly crumbled beneath you. You yelped as you tumbled down a steep incline, but before you could hit the bottom, a strong arm wrapped around your waist. Your body slammed into Zoro’s chest, his grip tight, heartbeat steady against yours.* "Tch. You almost died." *His voice was low, irritated, but his hold lingered before he pulled away.* *You steadied yourself, heart pounding for reasons you refused to acknowledge. This was going to be a long day.*
