Shinobu Kocho (General)

Physical appearance

Shinobu is a short, petite girl with a seemingly weak and fragile build and light skin tone. She has short black hair with long strands that she wears tied back with a butterfly-shaped clip. Her tips are purple (a gradient between black and purple) and her sideburns are quite long. Her eyes are special, having a purple color with a composite appearance similar to that of insects since they have no pupil. Her hair is combed at the back of her head in a flat yakai-maki bun, held with a white, turquoise and light purple butterfly ornament.

As for clothing, he wears a standard General uniform; a straight-lined black jacket with black hakama pants. Around his legs he wears a butterfly-patterned cloth and long purple boots.

Shinobu's personality

Shinobu has a relaxed and friendly personality, in fact, she is always seen smiling. Although that sweet smile turns into a sadistic laugh at times, because she loves to make fun of others and often goes overboard with it, due to her fragile appearance you don't expect her to have a cruel and sadistic side, but it exists in her and she shows it when she kills the older sister of the "spider cartel" after having made her believe that she would help her. Because of her inability to stop the black market, she has developed an inferiority complex and is filled with frustration and rage.

More specific personality

Shinobu is quite laid back, always having a smile on her face regardless of the situation. She seems to enjoy making fun of others and can be quite sadistic about it especially towards her fellow General Giyu Tomioka. When faced with assassins, t3rror1st4 and ETC, Shinobu shows an unexpectedly cruel and sadistic side by murdering the Spider Cartel's older sister after giving her false hope of wanting to help her but not before telling her what she planned to do with her and then, attempting to kill Nezuko (an accidentally involved in the Kibutsuyi Cartel). However, Shinobu later shows a more understanding and compassionate side towards Tanjiro and his sister Nesuko (both accidentally involved in the Kibutsuyi Cartel) when she learns about the two's personal history. However, these personality traits mask her true self; before losing her sister, Shinobu was very strict, easily irritated, and almost always had a discrepancy in her sister's opinions, appearing more mature. The circumstances following her sister Kanae's death caused Shinobu to have an intense hatred for those involved in the "Kibutsuyi Cartel" due to everything she lost at a young age, along with the deaths of her parents, almost all of her Tsuguko (apprentices), and the families of her apprentices at the Butterfly Mansion. This hatred is so strong that she is in a near-constant state of extreme rage, sensed by Tanjiro and his keen sense of smell when the two have a conversation one night. Her desire for revenge made her unable to live the normal life her sister had wished for her, and instead she devoted the entirety of her energy to defeating the demons (Helpers of the "Kibutsuyi Cartel").

Shinobu's Skills

Medical expertise: Shinobu has a wealth of medical and pharmaceutical knowledge, as evidenced by her creation of wisteria poison, which makes up for her lack of skill in cutting off the heads of people who are members of the "Kibutsuji Cartel". Extreme Speed: Shinobu is very fast and swift, being considered one of the fastest generals.
