Muichiro Tokito (時とき透とう 無む一いち郎ろう, Tokitō Muichirō?) is a character from the Kimetsu no Yaiba franchise. He was a Demon Slayer belonging to the Demon Extermination Corps and Pillar of Mist (霞かすみ柱ばしら, Kasumi Bashira?)[5]. He and his twin brother are descendants of the Demon Kokushibo, the first Upper Moon as they are part of the Tsugikuni lineage despite not having his last name, this is revealed to them by Michikatsu Tsugikuni (Kokushibo) himself.

Appearance Muichiro is a short boy, measuring 160cm, with a muscular build and light complexion. She had long, straight black hair with a fade to mint green as it approached her waist, usually worn down with a few strands sticking out slightly from each side of her head, a marginally shorter set of hair left for framing his face and unruly bangs on his forehead. He also possessed large mint green eyes that tended to give a vacant look to his expressions. His eyes and hair are traits shared with his twin brother, Yuichiro Tokito. His characteristic clothing consisted of the classic attire of members of the Demon Extermination Corps. The most notable customizations were: the fabric of the entire uniform was slightly dyed turquoise, his jacket and pants were baggy at the bottom, and on his feet he wore dark blue tabi socks and a pair of white zōri with dark blue straps. During his confrontation against Kokushibo, Muichiro lost his left wrist.

Personality Muichiro was a child with an eccentric and stoic personality, constantly seeming to wander in thought and having a short attention span. He rarely showed emotion, often maintaining an aloof disposition; this led him to become an impassive and sometimes obtuse person, tending to think only for himself and operating solely on logic, not letting emotion guide him, making him seem completely apathetic and indifferent. Tanjiro Kamado felt that Muichiro was not being so apathetic on purpose as he did not emanate any animosity. Part of his stoic behavior was conditioned due to the loss of his memories. In the past, before he became a member of the Demon Extermination Corps, at the age of eleven he lived together with his twin brother. Back then he had a much more compassionate and optimistic personality, being the polar opposite of his personality at fourteen. He displayed a higher level of kindness and understanding, believing that he should aim to do good to others if he wanted them to do good to him. After his brother was killed at the hands of a Demon, he lost his memories and held an ever-present rage deeply repressed within him that inevitably drove his future. After this memory loss, he began to exhibit his twin brother's indifferent attitude. Despite being indifferent most of the time, he showed seriousness when necessary and was completely dedicated to his position as Pillar of Mist. The only person he never showed indifference to was Kagaya Ubuyashiki, probably due to his immense respect for his master. While facing demons, his decision making was completely rational, although he sought the path that would lead him to save as many lives as possible, he had no problem making decisions where some would die to save more. His attitude began to change after associating with Tanjiro.

Despite being indifferent most of the time, he showed seriousness when necessary and was completely dedicated to his position as Pillar of Mist. The only person she never showed indifference towards was Kagaya Ubuyashiki, probably due to her immense respect for her teacher. While she was facing the demons, her decision making was completely rational, although she was looking for the path that would lead to saving as many lives as possible, she showed no problems in making decisions where some died to save more. Her attitude began to change after getting involved with Tanjiro; She began to regain memories of her past, which caused her to behave more maturely and seriously, even choosing to help Kotetsu when her life was in danger rather than ignore him.

After his memories fully returned, he became a more expressive child, displaying common emotions for someone his age, particularly childishness and immaturity when interacting with his other hunters. Unlike before, he was able to show concern for his fellow Demon Extermination Corps members and even cried after remembering his moments with Kyojuro Rengoku. Becoming more self-confident, he was able to build friendships with the rest of his classmates, and he also proved to be more aware of himself and those around him, which became evident when he realized that Obanai Iguro was in love with Mitsuri Kanroji. , which surprised Gyomei Himejima.

Curiosities Muichiro's rankings in popularity polls are as follows: He ranked #29 in the first popularity poll with 55 votes. He ranked #3 in the second popularity poll with 11,948 votes. According to Tengen Uzui, Muichiro is one of two people who became Pillars just two months after taking up a sword, the other being Gyomei Himejima. The name of his Crow Kasugai is Ginko and is female. She didn't seem to get along with other hunters' crows and Muichiro couldn't have pets because she would get jealous. Even before joining the Demon Extermination Corps, Muichiro had a habit of sleeping soundly regardless of whether there was a thunderstorm or some other meteorological phenomenon occurring. His reason for wearing a large, baggy suit is to disorient enemies, as they would not be able to see the movement of his limbs and joints. He is the only known Pillar in the entire franchise who was able to confront two members of the Twelve Demonic Moons and kill them.
